Cade is more mature, stronger and more consistant than Mobley. Another big factor that goes in Cade's favor is that he carried a relatively weak team on his back as a 19 year old. No one else has even come close to doing that. Mobley's upside may be more than Cade's because of his athleticism. That doesn't mean that he is the better player. I'll go for Cade over Mobley. I don't think either Mobley or Green will be selected with the number 1 pick. I believe it will be Cade. I'm not at all surprised to hear that Houston is interested in him.
it's ridiculous of a gamble to give up so much in future assets (and current depending on the package) for Cade. No one knows the future - he'll either be the next NBA superstar.....or could be the next Kwame Brown. Just let Detroit pick whoever, we'll take 2nd best, and don't stress it. Any one of these Top 3 guys will be an upgrade to help this current squad.
from Shams The Houston Rockets have been aggressive in pursuing a trade with the Detroit Pistons for the first overall pick in the draft, sources tell The Athletic. Cade Cunningham is the presumptive top pick in the draft and is believed to be the Rockets' targeted player, according to various reports.
I'll light a candle for you and hope your Cade dream comes true. If @treyk3 can speak Christian Wood into reality, you can definitely speak Cade into reality as well.
Shams and KOC recently coming out with how the Rockets are fixated on Cade and trying to trade for him Zach Harper also said the same back on July 9th I’m over here coughing there’s so much smoke now
If the Rockets truly prefer Cade, then it's only a matter of time til a deal gets done. Detroit's pick is going to help us get it done. That said, this might just be a smoke screen.
It seems pretty obvious to me the leaks are from Detroit. They want another team to pretend to want to move up, to get HOU to offer more. Detroit wants Green, which they can't drop below 2 to take. Because HOU can always say "take Cade, we'll take Green, or trade it and we'll take Green after whomever takes Cade takes Cade". Then Detroit is "stuck" with whomever is left at 3 if let's say they're trying to also negotiate with Cleveland. This all stems from Detroit considering Green. They have to either take him at #1, or take meh assets from HOU to move back one spot. I don't see HOU trading much given the leverage they have. All HOU has to do is say "we're good drafting at #2". I mean I think its crazy. I have NO CLUE why Detroit would be considering anyone but Cade... but if that's where we're at, that's all HOU has to do...
The Rox are stupid to trade our future for Cade. Take Green now, go after size at 23 and 24. I would only trade up if #2, Ego and #24 was enough to make it happen. I know it's not so move on
Cade’s scoring and shooting were question marks heading into his college season, and he proceeded to average 20 points and shoot 40% from deep and 85% from the line…yet for some reason, only Jalen Green gets the “he lives in the gym” and “work ethic” talk
Totally agree on this. I would only offer control of their picks back in the future for trading up to #1. If they want to sweeten the deal by adding either the 23 or 24 pick then that is fine but otherwise we should stay put at #2.
The next Kwame Brown? Really? Someone the other day said Mobley could be good, or out of the league in 3 years? Why all the ridiculous extremes on here? What if Cade is the next NBA superstar, and the Rockets are right?
