Also, I've always thought Walt Williams suffered from being ahead of his time and would have a much better career in today's NBA

Battier was not a soft player.

Wait what? I remember this dude bleeding nearly every game for us. Maybe not driving to the basket but Shane was a warrior

His super awesome blow by quick first step? Or his "Luka Level" guard skills? Still remains to be seen how he will react to professionals busting his ass every play. He makes crisp passes for sure though. We'll see what happens!

No real blow by skills but he is crafty and can change speeds as well as bully smaller players in the paint.

    Also better rebounder than Battier.

Cade Cunningham is like Shane Battier for sure because they’re both lightskinned…

I too remember when Shane Battier was scoring like that

Blast from the past Walt Williams I'm not seeing the comparisons. Cade has a different style when I watched film.

Shane Battier was a defensive Wizard. I don't think Cade will lock down anyone like Shane did.

If you call Shane soft then you obviously never watched him guard the elite shooters in the league. He'd run through walls of picks chasing guys like Kobe and still put a hand in their face as they faded away. Shane was God tier defender. Offensively he let Yao and TMac get everything they wanted he took scraps in a Jeff Van Gundy offense. HELLO! Not soft, dude was bleeding twice a week.

They averaged the exact same amount of rebounds as freshmen though?

Meh... I always felt Cade is a cross between Tyreke Evans and Grant Hill.
