Hmmm, he is wearing Ariza's number, @Reeko will be conflicted. I kid, I kid. Damn bro, you better ignore tinman otherwise he won't stop tagging you lol.
for the most part, I've seen that's the case only because most realize Detroit isn't passing up on Cade. And they will not.
basketball jesus, I don’t ask for much…I asked for good Rockets jerseys, u said no…I asked for a loud and hype environment at TC, and u said HELL NO…now I ask for Cade
Everyone in the NBA wants Cade. So the fact that the Rockets want him is not really newsworthy. Given our long rebuilding process, I cannot fathom a scenario where we give up valuable assets to move up 1 slot in the draft. There is not enough certainty on ANY player in this year's draft to justify that. We need to hit on a numerous first rounders during our rebuild in order to gain on the competition... so we need picks to accomplish our goals there. Just pick Mobley and don't get cute and screw it up.
Why did the basketball gods deprive us of keeping the Knicks stupid!?! The Knicks use to be all over players of John Wall's caliber when they struck out during free agency.
Detroit might want Green (or Cade might signal to Detroit, "As cool as Motor-Cade sounds, I'm just not feeling Detroit," and therefore try to squeeeeeeeeeeeeeze the Rockets (return the Detroit 1st rounder owed, which ties the Pistons' hands for years; add one of the picks at #23 or #24). In the end, though, choosing (and keeping) at #1 is usually too sexy for a team to pass on.
Call me crazy but I don't think Stone is the type to want a prospect without, y'know, meeting/interviewing the kid and working him out first. It's like hiring someone for a management position relying solely on their TikTok videos.
Yep, Isiah "Smile Bright / I did not order the code red / I like spending money (long pause) that belongs to other people [not an actual quote]" Thomas is long gone from the Knicks' offices.
