I'm slow on the uptick. I just figured out what he was talking about when he said that one gave me a buzz. I was thinking alcohol buzz and couldn't figure it out.
Its so dumb and so beyond the realm of truth but the Yankee fans just want to believe it and are STILL in denial. The fact that it takes Harold friggin Reynolds to break it down to these dipshits is hilarious. Everything he broke down is just common sense if you paid attention to that game.
Poor Dan Patrick....he bent to the presssure of his fellow idiotic brethren and made moronic statements about us. Poor Dan, thought he was smarter then that......
I heard they were being used to wipe up all the salty tears of Yankees fans at MMP, as they were the only thing strong enough to hold so many tears.
I just want the media to start using the word "cheater" to describe the pitchers that have been admittedly cheating for years.
All they did Saturday night was make excuses for Gerrit Cole because the balls have been sitting drying out all night and are really really really really slick. And it's even a bigger problem late in the game because now they're using the balls that have been sitting in the bottom of the bag the longest and are Really really really really really slick. Meanwhile Garret Cole keeps touching his belt....
The media will never hold back or think twice regarding what they say about the Astros... because they know the soft media market here won't create much heat for them. The Houston fan base in general, while very active on social media/twitter/reddit, will not really impact their bottom line viewers/listeners in a way that the producers have to step in and tell everybody to slow down. Its also a standpoint that largely caters to fan bases that feed off it... NY/LA... which just so happens to be the two biggest media markets in the US, and also happen to be the two most baseball-centric/anti-astros markets in regards to this story. Chicago was not in contention nor eliminated by any of these Astros teams... thus when one of their current pitchers calls out the Astros (like Rodon did when he was angry about the sticky stuff ban), it barely registers despite them being a firm #3 media and baseball market. This "controversy" remains intact as long as New York and LA are directly impacted. Now if neither of them make the playoffs, or the Dodgers end up getting eliminated early, it suddenly becomes a much less "hate the Astros" spin... especially if Boston is the direct competition.
What a game! 99/100 we would have left after the 8th as I usually have my 5 and 7 year old nephews with me, they can usually stay focused through 7 and anything after that can be tough unless we keep scoring, and by scoring I mean home runs so the train keeps them awake! Yesterday no kids so got to fully enjoy that 9th inning in person! I also might have to give this guy a listen based on these tweets
I wish there was a clean cut of this audio because it's brilliant. just from listening and never seeing his face before I thought Mad Dog was an 80 year old wise guy ..
LOL. I never googled Robert Ford. I never realized he was Black. How long has been with the Astros, 9 years? LOL
