You've changed as well. Can't get you to understand middle school competition is different from highschool is different from college is different from semi pro is different from the NBA. I saw LaBradford Smith play at my highschool. Texas highschool legend, with his own groupies/entourage. He was walking around like he owned the place. He went on to Louisville, did all right, nothing great. Went on to the pros and stunk it up. I'm not saying Evan Mobley will be a washout bust because at least Mobley can shoot....unlike Kawme Brown and LaBradford Smith. But what players did in highschool is irrelevant to what they will be doing in the NBA. Al Bundy (Married with Children - program) would dream of the day he once scored 5 touchdowns in one game. Clinging to a childhood memory. Then he would tuck his hand in his pants while sitting on the sofa as a couch potato. Shoulda coulda woulda happens. Evan Mobley playing without his brother in highschool means nothing to me. In the one game at USC in which they did not play together is exactly what I've been saying.....Evan Mobley needs his brother to put up the numbers he averaged. Without a true big man by his side his production diminished. Those numbers are off of just one game; but a huge warning flag of what Wood/Mobley might be. Pedestrian like numbers as he anchored the middle of a zone defense and got no blocks? Less points less rebounds less assists less steals more fouls. It's only one game, but I said as much. Evan needs Isaiah Mobley to hold his hand at the next level. That one game might be very telling as to what's to come, at least It doesn't disprove me otherwise. P.S. I won't mention that Jalen Green once dunked on Kai Soto when they were younger... nobody cares. It's irrelevant.
We just need players... forget designations (offensive, defensive) for each player and who we already have on our roster.... we have to play the long game and wait till we can get rid of Wall, Gordon (rumors are they're active in getting him off the team now), Bradley, and Augustin within the next year or two. There should be balance in a playoff teams design, yes, but this is far from a playoff team... let's just shoot for BPA with the maximum amount of value (both on court and for trade).
Green could become a more explosive Jordan Clarkson if he doesn't develop from this point on. He's going to score so easily, but needs to develop other facets of his game.
It's not a concern for who to pick unless there's a tie, but if a team completely full of guards is going to pick a guard, it means a ton of moves need to happen before the season starts or the pick won't get much playing time.
Its still not relevant to who the Rockets pick. It’s no secret that we would like to move Wall and Gordon. Picking Mobley because there’s a logjam on the team is the opposite of BPA.
Well, no. You'd pick Mobley because he's by far the BPA unless the Pistons pass on Cade. I was just pointing out that team composition matters, but not more than BPA. If a person fooled themselves into thinking Green was BPA, you'd still make that pick, but it would mean you'd desperately need to dump about 3 guards so Green could get playing time. If not, maybe you start him in the G league because he needs playing time to develop
I don't think they'd be openly flirting this much in public if they both didn't already know who the pick was going to be.
Of course team composition matters, but moreso when we aren't in asset accumulation phase. Not sure why we would need to "desperately" dump 3 guards, EG can play small ball SF and Augustin doesn't really factor too much. Wall will be a major expiring contract next season if he remains. Green will get minutes on the NBA team if the Rockets go that route.
WTF are are you going on about? Especially the bolded part. When have I ever claimed that Mobley does not have any flaws its you and your kind that ignore all the flaws in Greens game. You really went off the deep end with this one.
And you want people to take you seriously after this? This makes zero sense on every level, what does his brother do to help him excell that nobody else can do. I mean really WTF dude.
I'm with you, but both these dudes were born after 2000. Just the way it is with younger generation and social media.
The point is that Mobley needs a traditional big next to him because he's a poor rebounder and can't play center currently.
