He will prove you wrong. And i will throw that right back at you, I hope Mobley is the pick so you can see him bullied just like N Claxton got his @$$ handed to him by the Bucks. Unplayable 215 pound paper tiger. Then you need to draft a center to replace the weak*** center you just drafted the previous season. Who would have guessed that? Oh yeah ApacheWarrior said so !!! Enjoy!!!!!
This is the number 2 pick people. This team doesn't have a offensive centerpiece. That high of a pick, I'm worried about filling that role as it's the most important role. We can get defensive studs even in the second round.
Wall PG, Green SG offensive role isn’t as important in defining position as defense is, IMO. Green and KPJ are too small to hold most NBA forwards, ideally KPJ slides into Manu role until Wall is out.
I've watched ALL of his games. He's an absolutely terrible defender, some of that was due to complete lack of defensive skills, some of it was due to him not putting forth any effort whatsoever. You can go an about his scoring which was okay at times, but you're just going to have to give up on pretending he's not a terrible defender and that he wasn't a net negative out on the court even in the G league.
Here are the highlights @Bobbythegreat for context if you haven't seen them or so I may correct what I said. *It wasn't close late (Elite got within 11 and could've got within 9 or 8 but missed the shot). [I was wrong] *Jalen Green didn't score until late in the second quarter (4:03 remaining) as he was deferring up until that point. Scored most of his 30 points after halftime. [I was correct] *Entire highlights count how many times it was Jalen Greens man that scored. I counted 3 times. But the 905 were scoring like crazy vs everyone but Jalen. Somewhere at the end of the 2nd quarter you see Green get screened from behind and his man gets an easy bucket. No one comes over or rotates. His defense can be corrected [I feel like I'm correct in this....we shall see] Highlights are not the whole game, but stats don't tell the whole story as well. We all know Booby Brown can't guard anyone, that's not Jalen's fault. If that's the case I can blame a lot of NBA players for their teammates weak defense.
Hopefully Wall is injuried most of next season or has a lot of rest days because no way KPJ and Green develop with such a high usage over the hill star.
We will agree that we disagree. I lived thru the MJ/Kobe eras saying to myself they are ball-hogs.....Jalen Green probably has some of that in him. Allen Iverson as well would do that. That's how you get 30 points per game; by getting to the FT line. The refs/NBA reward those who take it to the rack.....because they promote action over stagnation. Green will be fine, hope you will come to terms with it if drafted by the Rockets. I have to come to terms with it, if the Rockets draft Mobley. I will give him a chance, as I gave Kenyon Martin jr a chance.....with the patience. I hated the pickup of KMjr; but to my surprise turned it around and improved within the season. I thought it would take him 3 years. Hopefully KMjr continues to improve. As well as Mobley/Green.
Lol at people thinking the presence of Wall should impact in any way how much pt KPJ gets or Green. what, you guys forget about Eric Gordon? Maybe we shouldn’t draft Green because of Eric Gordon, too! let’s completely ignore best player available and 100% go for fit! That makes sense for a 17 win team lol
If this front office is basing who they pick at 2 based on Wall and Gordon I'm going to immediately just stop following this team because that would show how incompetent they would be. Wall and Gordon are nor part of this team's future at all.
If I thought he had ANY of MJ in him, I'd feel very different about Green. I'm just concerned that we'll be spending a top pick on a Zach LeVine or Lou Williams type and it'll be a huge missed opportunity. Obviously if that's the direction we go, I'll hope it works out.....just like I hoped it would work when the Rockets foolishly listened to Harden and traded for Westbrook. I'll always hope for the best, but the rational part of me wants something to base that hope on. No matter what, the Rockets are better off with a top pick that turns out mediocre than they would have been without it, so it's a win/win. Worst case scenario really is just that the rebuild takes a bit longer. You'd want that best case scenario, where the crazy hype behind Green is real and the rebuild would be nearly done, but if it doesn't happen, it's not THAT big a deal.
I think if you draft Green, you have a team completely full of guards and that means you'd desperately need to dump a ton of them because the alternative is cutting into Green's playing time or locker room chaos which is the last thing the team needs. If you drafted Mobley, you'd still want to dump Wall, but if you couldn't, it wouldn't be the end of the world. If you draft Green, dumping garbage like Wall and Gordon is an absolute must.
Perhaps you didnt know that Ben Pfeifer took umbrage at Duckett using his article as a source for that farce he put out on Space City Scoop. Do your due diligence man.
I've done my due diligence....everything they mentioned from watching every Mobley game is what I've said prior to their piece. You shooting it down just looks petty
Point is just going over your head. Again. But dont bother responding, I've better things to do with the rest of my Saturday.
absolutely nothing about this decision should have anything o do with who is or isn’t on the current roster. back in the day Portland passed on both CP3 and Deron Willians for example because they had Sebastian Telfair on their roster lol. That’s one of many such examples….
