I do follow your timeline and many others, I starve for Rockets and NBA content.

But my post was not directed at you regarding the falsehoods being written about Mobley.

And Duckett is a vocal part of #Rockets, for better or worse, we should care how he represents us.

I was just surprised that my insignificant opinion was worthy of challenge and not Duckett's.

The quality of quick processing of the game is not talked about a lot. It separates guys from just pure athlete/scorers from the defensive anchors and primary playmakers. Honestly to me the guy with the fastest processing abilities seems to be Suggs.

In the open court I agree, Suggs and Barnes are elite processing the action.

If Suggs had a tighter handle/flashier passing he would be in contention for #1 overall.

His 3ball will improve I have no doubt. If Kidd could improve shooting then Suggs will have no problem, stroke is better than Kidd's coming out of college. By a lot.

But just to put an exclamation point on Mobley, he averaged 1.8 fouls a game.

That is unheard of for a rim protector as efficient as he is. And for the crazy amount of minutes he plays.

He can learn to play team defense and is already pretty good at guarding his man. Remember he's just 19 years old. He's got the base skills to become a great player and if I'm Stone, I'm betting he will work hard to learn the nuances of the game and become a great player.

In the G-League you cant expect a bunch of 18 year olds thrown together to quickly become a cohesive unit, particularly on the defensive end of the court.

The low foul rate is completely unprecedented however I question how much of that was from “lack of motor” or what I think is going on not anticipating the rotation. There was plenty of film where where Mobley is just not there to meet the driver on help. I’d want my defensive anchor to be all over the place. Now how much of that was due to the high minutes he played or from a lack of motor idk. But I’d expect a high level processing big to anticipate those drives and cut them off earlier.

I hope so, for his sake and especially for Rockets sake if he is the pick.

On another note, I'm of mind to start calling Green "Thriller".

Not just because of his thrilling explosive offense but now I cant watch any of his interviews without thinking of how @ApacheWarrior described him as Michael Jackson.

    LOL

I have faith Suggs will improve in the half court decision making as well. His processing speed on defense is elite and he picks up actions so quickly. I would imagine this should be the same on offense.

KPJ severely damaged his career over his locker being changed

I wonder how he’d handle being delegated to backup PG if we draft Green

Jalen Green is a shooting guard. This question makes no sense.

Man after watching their interviews of potential #2 picks, Green seems to have the strongest intangibles to elevate his game.

Often in the NBA there are many players with great ability and talent, what separates Kobe from Vince Carter and T Mac or Jordan from Dominique etc is the mentality and drive to relentlessly work to be the best.

Green has the fire and work ethic to maximize his potential. Whether that happens or not remains to be seen but he definitely shows more potential there imo.

Edit: Suggs has looked impressive as well honestly.

On another, another note, one of the Mobley Mob (not you D) hit me
with a Jalen Green doesn't care about defense because he was
a minus 29 in his one playoff game.

Durant was minus 25 in game 6 vs Bucks (recently)

    Both played 41 minutes

Guess neither Durant/J Green are worthy of being in the NBA, both hate defense!!!

I feel like you might have changed an "and" to a "because" to fundamentally change what you were told into a strawman version of what you were told.

As to KD, it was a different situation. He was logging an average of 40 minutes a night because of injuries and the -25 game was coming immediately after logging 48 minutes the previous game. AND this was the season he was making a comeback from an Achilles tear that took him more than a year to recover from.

Also, overall KD was a +8 on the season, so any one game is an isolated thing. Green was a net negative for the season, in part due to him playing no defense whatsoever. His absolutely atrocious defense is something everyone acknowledges, so I don't know why you are trying so hard to suggest it isn't true.

Oh so you are not going off one game?

Did you see that game? Green's

Did you watch any of his games?

He went against experienced players like Nic Stauskas and DPOY Gary Payton III
in that playoff game. I watched that game live. Alize Johnson was in the second
tier of defense.....you know, the guy that signed soon after by the Nets.

Jalen gave Amir Johnson and Jacks a chance to put points in the bucket but
they failed miserably, so Jalen took charge. If he didn't you would say he
choked like Harden. Green kept it close until the final minute.....his teammates
failed him. But you wouldn't know anything about that, uhh.

Gimme a freaking break…Durant plays defense and rebounds Green doesn’t. I hope the Rockets take Green over Suggs and Mobley so all you followers get to suffer the next three years with a Westbrook witn no assists and rebounds. Enjoy!!!
