This is just ridiculous. First of all, why talk sh*t about a 20 year old kid? Second, I dont think there is an "easy road" to get to the NBA. Props to Green for going the G league route and it working out for him, what does that have to do with Mobley? I guess we will see how good an eye for talent you have with that hot take.
What would Wood be doing on defense differently than last year? Because he was pretty terrible at it.
I literally bolded and responded to the sentence about big men having a hard time dominating in today's league. Seriously, what is even your point?
It's the other way around, Mobley demanded so much attention his teammates were able to be opportunistic. Ade you watching the vids you post on him, even his bad games opposing teams are singularly focused on stopping him. That opens ut up for his teammates to eat. There is a reason that Mobley, not any other USC player, receives all the accolades and attention form opposing teams. Mobley is THAT good. Vipers did not need to double Green or focus their defense on stopping him. Why is that if he is this supposed unstoppable offensive force?
Just his shot blocking ability is still there and rebounding, not sure if Wood can still gain weight but he can hold his own down low in the paint.
He literally didn't say what you said he said. Not one soul is saying that big man "can't dominate". Bold that shiz, take a picture!
While Mobley is the shield. Ask the Spartans, the epitome of a human fighting machine, which tool they prized the most.
So why are we impressed by his stats in a game they lost by 25 points. How many of those were garbage time points since he played 41 minutes? Is that really performing in a big game?
So now we are excited by points in a game were he was blown out? Why should anyone be excited because he unloaded a clip? Isn't it about wins?
Nobody thinks USC had a great team, most of the scouting reports on Mobley say he did not have much help.
I think lines have been drawn by everyone here and at this point all the arguments are just petty. There is no right or wrong when predicting the future. I'll come back to this thread next year.
