Ben Simmons is on a whole other planet entirely! I remember before he made it to the NBA watching the videos of those elite videos of high school/college kids - can't remember which it was - and Ben Simmons was just looking like a man amongst boys and I was like 'holy sh*t - this might be the first Australian to actually do something real in the NBA' Dude has seemingly put his car(eer) in R(everse) and never looked forward. Something of a phenomena
It actually DOES though.... IN COMPARISON to the same person pre-training. NOBODY compared average joes and top athletes except you. If a pro athlete trains his body accordingly, he can improve his chances of not getting re-injured. With every successive ACL tear, or PCL, or MCL, and on and on, the risk of re-injury is higher, and higher, BUT you CAN improve those odds. Your logic is mind-blowing, and verifiably false. Clearly you don't understand biokinetics, the kinetic chain, or a myriad of other things I have tried to touch on. This isn't the place for an lecture, I'm just moving on.
what could have been....i was a huge CP3 fan, but thought he was done too. now looking back, after harden quit on us, that trade was the biggest mistake the rockets have made in my lifetime. We shoulda traded harden first. some guys put in the work and some guys don't. Harden's just not a winner. Over inflated stats from ball hogging during the regular season, having the whole team setting picks for him, but when the playoffs come its a different game. Harden never had a midrange game like chris. Chris is actually the more skilled player. He got better. worked on that step back 3. i'd rather have Chris and Tuck back. true ballers. i'm happy for chris. go ahead and show the world houston messed up. big time.
The absolute biggest mismatch in this series that is DESTROYING MIL is Brook Lopez vs. Deandre Ayton. Especially when Giannis goes down, game always seems within reach and then immediately an offensive rebound and dunk. Lopez is such a nightmare out there. Completely liability on defense, and okay on offense. Not great.
He still Calm down. I'm not questioning the legitimacy of their wins if they do win the championship. I already stated it in some other thread. It was more of an observation for the Bucks really.
I love Harden, but the man might have some sort of curse attached to him that affects the play of role players around him, especially 3&D guys. Some of the best shooters with height, length and quick releases based on sports science rendered almost useless during big games when on the court with Harden.
I love PJ, and I'm unhappy to see him looking glum. Nevertheless, I'm happy that the CP3 led Suns are up 2-0.
It's not like that. He was a mistro early this season and several seasons prior showcasing the greatest floor general skills ever in a stretch of games in his debut with the Nets. It just doesn't translate as well in big elimination games due to injuries and or being cursed in general.
yes but his refusal to shoot midrange is a big flaw in his game its surrendering too much space to the opponent...thats on him....thus harden could never do what booker and cp3 have done this playoffs even if everybody is injured...harden couldnt feast on the injured opponent...you need the midrange... i makes things a lot easier making you tougher to guard and helping you get in the groove plus sometimes its the only space left unguarded... I loved how mikhal bridges and crowder hit several timely midranges that were the daggers to the bucks defense ....let alone cp3 or bookers midrange why chase the glorified efficiency when all you need is for scoreboard to keep moving, harden?....basketball is game of momentum and game of runs...midrange does a lot for you psychologically... perhaps thats why harden is so shaky sometimes....midrange is the easiest shot in basketball relative to how easy is to hit it and doesnt requires physical exertion of the drive or precision of making a long 3pter
Honestly I turned on Harden in 2019 when he turned on the franchise by trading for Westbrook. I spent the whole 2020 season being disgusted by my favorite team. He is a megastar and I would've rather kept him and made it work, but we had a lot of excruciating playoff moments. Once he forced a trade early in the season at minimum value, I dont feel like I owe him any reverence. I enjoy indulging in the bashing a bit like a jilted ex because there are some poster who still can't accept any negatives.
