Based on ****ing what lmao? He's known as a good scorer with improvement needed in his playmaking aka tunnel vision.

I swear this board live in a different world.

Someone on the Pistons forum gave that nickname; so not taking credit. But yea it fits him well if he goes there.

Wiggins never hit 40% from 3. Not in college, not since.

Wasn’t my idea. Hence why I said “I like this guys trade better”. Sorry forgot to add link.

And while yeah all the future picks are wishful thinking, Wood is worth a lot more than people here realize. Especially to a team like GS. The 7th and the 14th pick aren’t going to push them to a title next year and their salary cap is fked.

It’s not just Wood. It’s Wood, his contract and GSs salary cap issues along with their desire to make another run at a title before Curry and Clay and Green are done.

If Detroit doesn't want Cade, then why would we give up additional assets, just let them pick who they want. I would just call their bluff, let them pick Mobley a #1, get your guy either Cade or Green at 2.

Green couldn't even average 3 assists in the wide open space for days G League with actual NBA players shooting 3's.

Assists are much more difficult to rack up in college where the paint is clogged and the talent is not as elite.

The 8 asts is dumb af but if he played in college Green woulda had 25 pts easy playing vs kids his age rather than grown ass men with a chance to get called up in the NBA.

He’s much better than Cameron Thomas. He could have easily gone to Memphis or Fresno State and started. He was the NUMBER 1 recruit coming out of high school.

Smoke a J, homie, and relax.

I’m thinking 8 boards not assists. He has the size to average 6-8 boards in college.

Green played for Team Ignite, the squad is composed of mostly kids like him, lotto kids vs grown ass men in other teams. Its harder for their entire team to score therefore they have less stats including assists.

    I dunno man.

One of the issues with Green was he hated contact, didnt play hard on D and didnt go to the line enough. Maybe he just got intimidated being 17 yr old scrawny kid up against grown ass men and he'll do better in the NBA, but if he shies from contact its hard to say he'll get more than 4/5 rebs a night.

The only thing I'm confident in is scoring 18 ppg vs Gleaguers with 37% from 3 Green would be scoring 25+ pts on +40% 3 pt in the NCAA and prob be called the best SG since Kobe. Is that enough to make him no 1 over Cade? I think it would have been a hot debate between the 2.

Thats one of the major reasons why I gravitated tk Green over time, he played in a tougher conference. GLeague is just a little bit under Euroleague in terms of quality of comp IMO. Barring injuries there's little to no chance Green will bust in the NBA.

Ah so you read out all the assets the Warriors have from a fan post and thought that was someone saying Wood is worth it all

that’s not what that person was saying, and secondly, that person is a nobody and that’s a random trade idea by a fan, its not a source or rumor, 2nd link as well

That person is so detached from knowing basketball that he listed Wood as our best asset... when we have the #2 pick in the draft

I disagree with this. The team had ~4 1st round talents, a number of hand picked vets, and then fillers. If anything, it was a team designed to make Green, Kuminga & Co look good and learn.

I’m not saying that is a knock against Green, but the narative of ‘this was a bunch of 17/18 year olds against the world’ isn’t reality. Ignite is an NBA product, designed to succeed and make the player who opted to sign with it succeed.

I think you forget that former NBA names like Jarrett Jack and Amir Johnson also played on Ignite.

The other G League teams normally have end of bench players or grown ass men who are fighting for their lives for even a chance in NBA.

There were only 2 lottery picks on Ignite, but the talent was deep.

The Ignite is also unique because NBA handpicked coaches and players to ensure that these young players who committed to Ignite were going to be placed in best position to succeed.

Ignite is the wave of the future for NBA. Having an Ignite player go #1 or #2 would be a huge feather in NBA's cap.

Yet he only averaged 4 boards in G League.

    That extrapolation is not sound.

Talent level and size. He’d average 6+ boards for a program that used him as a centerpiece.

The point is that everyone would be talking about him if he went to college. Cunningham benefited from being on a team that relied on him heavily.

No, the point is what can he do in the NBA.

He will not pull 8 rebounds a game in NBA.

    Not at 180 lbs.

He may even struggle to average the 4 per he got in G League.
