I'm a season ticketholder and have been since 2003. For the record I dont feel this way. But if you look around during games you see alot of the fan base that wouldn't know a football from a soccer ball. They're there only to be seen.
My ex-wife put us on the list and we were hovering around 20,000th in line for a couple years. She called me before last season to say that she got to the top and wanted to know if I wanted in. I did not. But she went from somewhere around 19,000th to 1 in the matter of months. The combination of COVID and Bill O'Brien wiped that list out quick.
Watson, like Aaron Rodgers, is acting like an entitled brat. Both of them need to play football and STFU. Watson even more so with all the accusations swirling around him.
Is there a way for the Texans to financially **** over Watson because that would be awesome. Maybe somehow convince the league that Watson violated his contract with the sexual assault allegations and waive him and terminate the contract and then collide with all other owners to not pay him beyond the minimum of he wants to get back in the league? I feel like someone like Watson shouldn't be rewarded for his **** behavior.
I honestly hope this ruins Deshaun "Happy Ending" Watson's career and finances. Playing in the NFL should be a privilege, not a right.
Can someone update me or provide a link to what he's actually doing? I enjoy the page after page of b****ing -- seriously, I have schadenfreude for this franchise -- but what did he do, football wise, besides the rumor of wanting to go to Denver? It's easy to find news on Rodgers, but I can't find much on DW's camp or statements or stances.
There is very likely language in his contract that would allow them to void his deal. But it’s unlikely to happen outside some dramatic turn in the case (i.e. criminal charges, video, etc). Simply put, Caserio just needs to focus on getting the highest return for DW4. It’s the only prudent thing to do really.
Houston has to move on. There's no redemption story here and no play if you ask me. Take the lumps, get the #1 draft pick, and move on.
I guess Watson wanted to get out of Houston before the skeletons started popping out of the closet… Too many women stirred up a lot of allegations, and we know if she says it, you got to address it at the very least. To think, Watson was on top of the football world just a few seasons ago. But brats are gonna be miserable no matter what hand they are dealt. There was a Texans team before Watson, and there will continue to be one afterwards. All I ask, is don’t do him no favors accommodating his departure.
Sounds like he's focusing on faith/religion... which is actually a huge part of the program in fighting addiction. He needed help so credit to him if he's admitting there's a problem, admitting he's powerless, and seeking help to fight it.
Everyone loves a redemption. I hope that he can make amends for his transgressions and rehabilitate his image. Whether it’s here or not.
