thats kind of a dishonest take there and sounds like youre trying to minimize the seriousness of what zip tie guy and his mommy did. he did a lot more than follow mommy around begging her not to damage anything. he entered the senate chamber dressed in full tactical gear, carrying a stun gun and zip ties. video footage also shows them carrying guns around DC, which is against the law. they left them outside the capitol b/c as zip tie guy's mommy said, if they were caught they would go straight to federal prison.

also, maybe he found those zip ties in the capitol, but he entered the senate chamber with them as well as a stun gun. what do you think his intention was? also, when the FBI raided his house they found zip ties along with lots of other stuff...so he brought them home as some kind of bizarre souvenir, in which case he should be charged with stealing federal property as well.

zip tie guy and his mommy should be punished to the fullest extent of the law and so should everyone else who attacked our capitol and also those who incited them.

    https://www.cbsnews.com/news/eric-munchel-zip-tie-guy-release-blocked-federal-judge/
"Munchel "perceived himself to be a revolutionary, in the mold of those who overthrew the British government in the American Revolution," according to court filings. He was "dressed for combat" with "combat boots, military fatigues, a tactical vest, gloves, and a gaiter that covered all of his face except for his eyes," documents state. He also wore a stun gun on his hip and mounted a cellphone to his chest to record events"

What is the difference between what you said he did and what I said he did, besides the language used to describe it? How he was dressed?
Apparently take " them home as some kind of bizarre souvenir" per @jo mama

you dont see the difference b/t saying...

"the scary zip tie guy actually found the zip ties while following his mommy around the Capitol begging her not to damage anything."

    vs.

"he entered the senate chamber dressed in full tactical gear, carrying a stun gun and zip ties. video footage also shows them carrying guns around DC, which is against the law. they left them outside the capitol b/c as zip tie guy's mommy said, if they were caught they would go straight to federal prison."

the way you are characterizing it is clearly meant to make it look like what he did wasnt a big deal and that all he was doing was innocently trying to prevent his mommy from damaging anything. but thats really not the full picture and i think you know that.

he took them home after he was part of an insurrection...the question was what was he planning to do with them in the capitol building. why did he (and his mommy) enter the senate chamber with them. why was he wearing tactical gear and carrying a stun gun.

Ah, so when a Republican want to cancel someone, it's free speech, but when a Democrat does, it's oppression.

No, those are the same things. You described his clothing and wearing a stun gun. You talked about them NOT taking guns into the Capitol because it would result in going to federal prison (which would seem to imply they were not planning on doing something that would result in going to federal prison, yes?). What he did wasn't a big deal, which is why he was released on bond. He looks scary to some people in his LARPing gear, but what did he actually DO? He recorded all of his actions and they amounted to finding some zip ties on the floor and walking around the Capitol telling his mom not to vandalize stuff. There are people that fought with police and injured them, which is the highest level crime any of the rioters actually committed. He was not one of them. There were people that stole or vandalized things. He was not one of them. Then there were people that unlawfully entered the Capitol while it was off limits. That is what he did.
He found them in the Capitol building on video and picked them up. There is no evidence of an intent to do anything with them, that I am aware of. Perhaps you have something more. He was wearing tactical gear because he is one of these LARPers that go to rallies and dress up in fatigues and act like they are going to protect America from an invasion by China or Russia or aliens or zombies, but really just hang out with like minded people and drink beer and piss and moan about Democrats, unless I miss my guess. Your Patriot Prayer types.

These just are not scary people to me. They are more sad and pathetic.

Someone should ask him whether someone today waiving a Confederate flag is more likely to vote for him or his democrat opponent.

This is a strategy that many on the Right have done and one reason why we see things like the teaching of evolution and now CRT being such hot button issues on school boards.
