great, again, a compelling actual look at ones game and how it might translate to the next level was just presented and you have still yet to respond to it at all. Luke Garza was voted the player of the year in college. Maybe the Rockets should draft him 2nd?
Ok dokay. Noted. Kind of dumb cause idgaf if you’re wrong or I’m wrong. I’d happily be wrong if they draft Mobley and he’s amazing. Especially since if they draft him I hope I’m wrong. but you’re putting yourself out there. how about instead you just actually respond to the analysis? And maybe put $100 in the tip jar if you’re wrong?
I just hope you don’t get kicked in the head by a donkey before the Rockets make their first selection
Noted. thanks for this stimulating 1st grade level of conversation. It’s truly the type of conversation that’s made this place special over the years!!! … wait… nvm… talking about folks getting kicked in the head by a donkey is bleacher report / real GM level conversation and the type of stupidity one would expect of a moron.
This is something that he has to learn, to be part of a team instead of just being a potential isolation scorer. However, this can be fixed. The NBA is the end game, all their platforms prior to it, should be considered but that is the end of it. We are not only evaluating how ready the player already is, but his potential and that includes some weaknesses, that is normal.
Good podcast. They were saying KAT was this theoretical two way players in college but KAT ended up being an offensive beast. They were saying that could be Mobley except defensively. But they generally thought Mobley was hard to pin down.
If you are drafting for strictly defense, trust me that can be found in later rounds. #2 pick needs to be a beast player all around. Do you want to wait for a few years to see if that even happens?
Mobley and Suggs are the guys you'd pick then? Those are the 2 with a chance to be "beast players all around" Even best case scenario Green is still terrible defensively.
I would totally take Mobley over Green if we already have a young playmaker guard on the team. To start Mobley will be able to get his points on lobs and rim running. He's not there yet as a 1v1 post player or a good enough shooter. I don't think KPJ is there yet as a true PG. Mobley is going to be running around doing a lot of nothing when no one can set him up.
By this logic, Mobley will never be good offensively either, so I guess it's a wash. Didn't know that players had already achieved their full potential at 19 years old, but we learn something new everyday from wise posters like yourself.
