If he keeps landing on one leg, Green will have more injuries than Mobley. Those landings are so out of control scary.
...just another part of his game that is raw. It's going to be a few years before Green is a top shelf player in the league.
If he gets heavier and doesn't fix those landings, it will be worse. Kid is pure energy right now but he also needs to focus on the details like protecting yourself, proper technique, thinking a play ahead, defensive rotations, etc.
This is nothing I don't expect any NBA level training staff to correct. Seems like a simple correction that just needs some practice.
He already addressed this and there’s a reason there’s no clips from his time in the G League when he improved his landings already.
We'd be lucky if Green was Zach Lavine...never mind Donovan Mitchell...yall gotta turn these expectations WAAAY down
more like showing an example of him still doing something that was displayed in the video as a possible issue
As for his landing, I don't see any injury history for him and he looks even better the more I look at his game. Things like footwork and landing technique can be fixed with coaching and repitition as others have said. He has the skillset, is a freak athlete, has the drive to improve/superstar intangibles and has an outstanding work ethic. Nothing is guaranteed at all of course, but he looks like he has all the tools to develop himself into a star player and elite scorer. I particularly like players that rise under pressure and elevate thier play in the playoffs consistently. He got better in his G league playoff debut dropping 30 points 5 rebounds, 7 assists and 3 steals. Watch him crossover and break the defense's ankles around @1:30 mark.
