I would have appreciated it more if they had just posted I saw Jalen Green at a grocery store in Houston yesterday. I told him how cool it was to meet him in person, but I didn’t want to be a douche and bother him and ask him for photos or anything. He said, “Oh, like you’re doing now?” I was taken aback, and all I could say was “Huh?” but he kept cutting me off and going “huh? huh? huh?” and closing his hand shut in front of my face. I walked away and continued with my shopping, and I heard him chuckle as I walked off. When I came to pay for my stuff up front I saw him trying to walk out the doors with like fifteen Milky Ways in his hands without paying. The girl at the counter was very nice about it and professional, and was like “Sir, you need to pay for those first.” At first he kept pretending to be tired and not hear her, but eventually turned back around and brought them to the counter. When she took one of the bars and started scanning it multiple times, he stopped her and told her to scan them each individually “to prevent any electrical infetterence,” and then turned around and winked at me. I don’t even think that’s a word. After she scanned each bar and put them in a bag and started to say the price, he kept interrupting her by yawning really loudly.
Man the hype for Green needs to tone down around the league because I'm afraid Detroit is going to buy into the hype
I saw Ray Allen play in college and he always had a strong frame, those pics don't really tell the tale, yes he can get stronger, but people are knocking Mobley for being skinny and so is Green. We do need to wait and see what his measurements are but I am a bit skeptical he will be 6'5.
I saw him play in college too, that’s why I brought him up…they have the exact same build a weak, skinny big man, and a skinny guard are completely different things…1 doesn’t have to battle bigs and fight for defensive boards all game Skeptical why? All the people questioning his height haven’t brought any evidence for why he isn’t actually 6’5.
even if Green is 6’4 instead of 6’5, y’all talk like he’s 6’2 6’4 isn’t undersized for a SG, neither is 6’5
Your right he could have a similar game to Dwayne Wade and similar measurements. Wade was only like 6’4 in a half. However, Wade’s wingspan is over 6’10. Greens has relatively short arms for the NBA only Measuring 6’7 in a half.
I don't agree they have the same exact build, Greens legs are way skinnier. I am skeptical because he looks shorter in some pics and I don't know why he would not be measured since his height has been speculated. I could be totally wrong its just my opinion.
6'4 is undersized just because there are examples of players doing well at that size does not make it irrelevant. Anyway we will see.
DWade was also a stellar defender when he was younger and he was a considerably better passer than Green. That said, if Green becomes a completely different player, it would be awesome if he could play like Wade if the Rockets are foolish enough to go that direction instead of picking one of the 2 best players in this class.
no, 6’4 is not undersized…the average SG height has been in the 6’4 range since the 12-13 season y’all are saying 6’4 is undersized based on no facts, and Green being undersized pretty much based on gut feelings Y’all think every SG is Klay Thompson height or something?
this is probably my favorite Jalen Green high school game…his 2nd half eruption starting at the 4:40 mark had me making the stank face too
Definitely worried. I’ve noticed it right away and it scares me. I hope he finds a way to avoid landing like that in the future
