does cp3 fits the suns timeline? wood is a diamond and people looking for ways to get rid of him all the time?
That's about 4 million dollars on those 2 picks but if we can trade both for a 14th pick that's 2. 9 million. A million in savings! You can renovate all three Bubba Gump locations in Texas. Did you guys know that Paris' real shirt actually reads stop being desperate? I was sad to find that out. I always found it funny.
For me, right now it’s: #2 Mobley #23 Cameron Thomas #24 Butler/Springer/Mann My outlook on that would change if Jalen Johnson or Ziaire Williams dropped into the 20’s, but that’s where I am right now. I realize Mobley vs Green is contentious, but I’m leaning Mobley and feel someone like Thomas could develop into every bit of the scorer Jalen Green could become.
Take the best available player then traded the other one to OKC for their SRPs. —> they already have 3 FRP what are they going to do with 6 rookies from on draft? Today’s mock in draft room would be: 23 - Jaden Springer 34 - DayRon Sharpe 36 - Joe Wieskamp 55 - Greg Brown
Assuming we get Green at 2 that will be enough guards on the team. Those other 2 picks need to be big men. Preferably two 3 and D type big men. One of them HAS to be Petrusev. He is the hidden gem that teams look to get. So far he has been flying under the radar and that is great imo. I still like Sharpe for his rebounding and post scoring but his shot needs a lot of work. Sharpe is 265 lbs of motor. I like Bassey too. He too has shooting woes but Bassey is a better rim protector though. Also Garuba is another one to take a look at here. Either way a couple of big men is the way to go at 23 and 24.
Kyree Walker was a top ranked player in school around the same time as Green and Cade. He disappeared for a while for personal reasons. Claims to have been working out for a year in preparation for the draft. We can probably get him as an UDFA.
First off, I think we're going to move at least one if not both of these picks. Most likely to move up. But, don't be shocked if one of these gets dealt for a slightly better first next year. I also wouldn't mind kicking the tires on Tyler Herro, see how far we can get Riley down. Assuming we keep the picks, I see us taking one of either.....Mann, Butler, and Grimes. Then, Murphy or Brown. I'd really like to somehow get Jalen Johnson.
I get some Be Well vibes from reading about Jalen Johnson... I am, today, liking the idea of Mobley - Murphy - Garuba as an investment in the D (as well as the frontcourt of the future). Would use future picks and free agency to build the backcourt around KPJ. If Garuba was already gone would look to package #24 and House/Augustin to the Pels for 3 of their 4 seconds to take some developmental guys who would play for RGV next season. Thats where I am at today.
Ben Simmons? What kind of package are you suggesting? Even though his value is depressed it'll take a haul I'm thinking.
I'm a huge Ben Simmons fan, and the timing is right as far as buying low. I think he'll really thrive once he's out of Philly....away from Embiid. You play him as a point forward, but moreso further down low....running that offense through him....I see beastly #'s and many wins. The problem is that crushes the rebuild...turning it into a reload...not the % play, but who knows..if he blows up then we might be able to put together a legit contender.
Word on the Street is that they are locks to go before the Rockets 23/24 picks ... the Rockets are dreaming here, hoping that they fall to 23/24.
Neema has been talking about that vrenz guy, I haven’t watched film on him, but that is the sort of high ceiling player I would want to look at if jt Thor is gone (if his tape doesn’t completely suck) Any one actually watch his stuff? Would he be a good high ceiling pick there? I know he’s not listed in mocks, but that doesn’t mean Jack
Would Philly consider a Simmons for Wall trade? Since Simmons has 2 more years and 50 more million on his deal compared to Wall, Philly is going to have to throw FRPs into the deal. Would Philly do that deal? The truth about Simmons is that he is good player but seriously overpaid. His weaknesses are fully exploitable in playoff series, so that pushes him to the bench and end of the rotation in the playoffs. I don't see Philly and Morey dealing FRPs to move Simmons, versus yet another year of trying to fix Ben Simmons.
If Simmons can just get his free throw percentage up to 70+% for now that would be fine. Then just continue working on his shot from there.
