Yeah I’m not continuing the conversation anymore. To me Mobley had he highest “bust factor” of the top 4. Which isn’t saying a ton cause as I noted I don’t think any of then have particularly high bust factors.

And let me highlight that last part again. Because I DO NOT think Mobley will be a bust. In fact I’m on board with Mobley having as high a ceiling as any player in this draft. If all our magically reach their peak ceiling comparisons maybe young with Cade and Green first but Green and Mobley would again be interchangeable and at that point personal preference and team fit.

I’ve said many times I’d REALLY REALLY like to draft them both…. Or Mobley plus whatever guards fall to us. And I’d be willing to trade every player not named KPJ to accomplish that task, even Wood.

I currently lean Green 60/40. If I felt like Mobley had a KG like demeanor it would be 50/50

Didn't he average like 18? I'm not saying he will average 20 but if he gets heavy minutes it's not crazy to think he can. The Rockets don't really have an established alpha either.

6'3.5 barefoot or something like that wouldn't be a disaster, people have to remember everybody has been listed in shoes, Harden is 6'4. Beal is 6'3, Curry is 6'2, Mitchell is 6'1

    Wall says hello.

    Self professed franchise player.

Wood and Porter raising their hands in the dark corner of the lockerroom too.

    Harden is 6'5 barefoot.

Barefoot is the new NBA standard of measurement.

    I don’t believe them.

Like half the players are still magically the same height at their with-shoes pre draft measurement. The measurements were taken by teams and not an independent source, I think getting a new listed height was optional for a lot of players on a lot of teams

Rockets had many players lose height during re-measurement.

Of course, your eye test is more accurate.

While KPJ is 6’4….if green is only 6’3 or 6’4 we would have the smallest backcourt in the league and prolly worst defensive backcourt in the league.

And it isn’t just about green either don’t forget Tate is small as well…our whole line up would be small causing a bad defensive and bad rebounding effect.

Worst defensive backcourt? Maybe, that’s definitely a possibility. Smallest? No. Both Conley and Mitchell are just 6’1. Lillard and McCollum is a shorter backcourt. Both Russ and Beal are 6’3.

Tate is not a definite future starter. This roster is still getting built. We literally just finished year 1 of a rebuild and people talk like we have anything close to a finalized roster.

Your my fav voice to listen to on here...
    Always so logical and understanding

who do you take ? Green or Mobley ?

and also are you also wanting to trade wood and future picks to get back in the lottery ?

i think this should be our main objective

    I’m gang Green

I’ll readily admit that I have a bias for guards and wing players that can shoot and create…perimeter creators and playmakers are the most valuable thing in this league which is why I have Cade 1 and Green 2…Green does need to work on his playmaking, but I like his potential, work ethic, swagger, and love for the game…the worst case is that Green becomes a scorer with mediocre playmaking that can’t defend, and in that case Mobley could easily become more valuable than that, so Mobley has intrigued more in the past few days and I’m trying not to be as dismissive of him as I was in the past and be more open minded

and I’m not gonna lie, there’s also a selfish reason of wanting to be entertained that plays a very small, but not insignificant part for me…Green is exciting and fun to watch, and most big men just bore me

I’m definitely open to trading Wood…he has 2 years left on his deal, and if he wants a max contract here, I’m good on that

    Dame is 6’2
    CJ is 6’3

    Cp3 is 6
    Booker is 6’5

Conley and Mitchell are both 6’1

Two 6’4 guards is an above average backcourt

Think Russ and Harden or Wall and Beal size

    I am 75% Green - 25% Mobley
For the main points you just stated.

I as well am infatuated by Jalen Green. I think that he has the highest ceiling of any two gaurd since the late Kobe Bryant.
It’s been over 20 years since we have seen a prospect resemble a young Kobe or dare I say a young Michael. The comparisons are very intriguing and valid. His fire and demeanor are also another huge plus - we need to draft a gym rat and he is a gym rat.

Like you mentioned, he is sub par on the defensive end right now and his play making isn’t there yet either. But I think there is a better chance then not, that he will be able elevate himself in both areas over the next few years as he gets stronger and the game slows down.

I personally think he will be a 30 points a game scorer in this league in due time.

Mobley is the safer pick- He’s going to be able to anchor a defense from day one- The jury is still out On how far he can develop but I just don’t see him being a top 10 player in this league one day and I do see that in Green

I think this draft is just so deep!

Picks 23 and 24 are much more valuable this year than most years , I think once you get past the top seven or eight prospects- There’s Another 20 or so prospects that have lottery type talent in another normal NBA draft.

We are in a good position, And this draft will be one of the deciding factors In where this franchise goes over the next decade.

I’m all In For trading Christian Wood - To move into the lottery- I want to be really bad again next year- I think it’s very important to try and get a top for pick again in next years draft.

It’s not completely top 4 pick or bust like it was this year, But I think it’s very important to position ourselves to get it again and try and get Chet or Or any of the other young up-and-comers.

Who would you like to draft at 23 and 24?

In a perfect world, We take Jalen Green - Jalen Johnson and Zaire from Stanford.

We trade with Golden State - sending Wood and Other draft considerations to Move back in the lottery To get Davion Mitchell

    So pumped for the lottery!

Suggs has the Dante Exum look to me, just too slow to be great in the NBA.

Green is the pick. Cade will be the shock pick if he slides.

    I’ll take either. Let’s go!
