LOL. You don't care but keep posting about draft prospects. Sure sure sure. Anywho..... Mobley's skillset is the hardest to find which is often why it has the highest bust potential.
My only issue with Green is his intelligence. Mobley and Suggs just seem miles ahead of him in the headspace. This team doesn't exactly have the sharpest tools in the shed at the moment. We went from Harden/CP3....two of the most cerebral players in the game....to Wood/Green?
Yeauuuh I'm going to need an explanation on this one. I'll need specifics on how exactly Green is being looked at as a mental midget while Mobley and Suggs are now Mensa men. I don't see how anyone could make that assertion especially after watching him in this interview. Or are the Mobley mob and Green gang just continuing to make stuff up?
Yeah I don't care who will make the most impact his rookie year, why should anybody care about that? All draft picks have bust potential and actually his skillsets are the most transferable to the NBA so no they don't have the most bust potential. If all he is a rim running big who can not be played off the floor he would not be a bust. That last line did not make a lot of sense.
The first sentence is probably the line I would agree with, I do care but will not have the headspace for it. Going to be interesting for sure.
Fair enough. Quite a few Mobley Men feel like he will make an impact right away, which will be hard to do compared to these offense first guards and wings. Mobley is the project of the top 4 and the reward is the highest upside. Out of the top 4 it would seem so. Playing defense in the NBA is actually really hard and Mobley is coming in light. We got a Capela in the #20s so it would be pretty disappointing in the very least if we got Capela 2.0 with the #2 pick.
This is great stuff, especially the drills with Steph/Luka, the type of stuff he should be doing. It was clear he wasn't at their level on those drills yet... to be expected, but his want to is great. Bearing in mind that video is now almost two years old, i was trying to see if you could gauge his height. Best I can tell was he's definitely taller than Steph, as he appears taller than him despite Steph being in front of him in the video, lol
You keep saying that but not the scouts, Suggs has the most bust potential because he can't shoot. Yes playing defense is hard but at least he wants to do it and that's 75% of the battle and nobody is gonna be asking him to bang in the post so him being lite is irrelevant, you know who else is lite? Green. Yes it would be disappointing if that's all he turns out to be but he would not be a bust and he would be a vital piece on a contender which is why he does not have the highest bust potential. Just look at the last 7 drafts and the #2 pick not 1 franchise guy and some flat out bust so it's all a crapshoot.
the part that concerns me is that people love his guard every player everywhere defensive potential…. But so far it’s against much slower less capable college players. Like when I watch him in highlights guarding the perimeter it’s not exactly a whose who of offensive players he’s guarding. I mean obviously Wiseman wasn’t thought of as this defensive monster but he wasn’t supposed to be bad defensively and he couldn’t contain anyone inside or outside. Or Gobert isn’t chopped liver… and he can’t stay in front in the NBA perimeter because those guys are ****ing great. M I’m not saying he can’t do it… I’m just saying I’d really like to put him in a gym with average to above average guards / wings and see how he performs defensively.
You do know he played AAU and played against a lot of these guys in the draft. It's not only based on his college play. And yes it's all projection nobody knows how Green will do once he is playing against the best every night and has been scouted.
It's more than just a crapshoot. The reason why #2 is so difficult because teams often go for potential. Mobley doesn't shoot better than Suggs and Suggs ran an offense as the primary ball handler. Suggs took 38% of his shots from 3 at 33% verses Mobley's 12% of his shots from 3 at 30%. One of those players is clearly more comfortable shooting and both need to improve their percentage. Suggs is the safe pick after Cade.
I’m guessing like 95%+ of AAU players aren’t making the league. Green has plenty of question marks. I’m pointing out that Mobley is “low risk” because he can immediate come in and play defense doesn’t strike me as a given. That guy thought Suggs was the highest risk of the top 4 because he “can’t shoot” and admittedly I don’t love his 34% three point percentage… but it’s not Ben Simmons can’t shoot and he had a very respectable 59% from two. personally I think Suggs is pretty low risk. He should have a long NbA career. He just also seems lower ceiling. Personally I think they’re all relatively low risk. I don’t see bust potential out of any of the top 4. But in my opinion Mobley is the most likely - not by a huge margin - to not live up to the pick placement. it’s nice to put these opinions out there. We can look back in 5 years i also reserve the right to change my mind all the way up to the actual draft!! Lol
Wut? Why are you comparing a guard to a big? The point is Suggs has a suspect jump shot and any guard that has that is a high bust potential. No scouts agree with you about Suggs being a safe pick they are all over the place and some of that is his doubt I don't agree he is that safe a pick.
HUh? Why'd you compare a big to a guard then get surprised when I tossed some numbers comparing a guard to a big? You brought it up first breh..... Maybe not make absolute statements like "he can't shoot".... then get outraged when numbers get pulled.
Yes Suggs can have a long career but so can Mobley but having a long career does not mean they will have great impacts on there teams. if a guard does not have a dependable jumper we see them being spares all the time, would you take Smart as top 4 pick? Big men usually have longer careers. So now are basing this on having a long career?
I did not compare the skills of a big to guard and my saying he can't shoot is comparing him to other guards. Nobody is outraged where are you getting that from? So yeah I am asking again why are you comparing his shooting to big, his shooting will go along way to him being a productive NBA player unlike Mobley.
