That is based on the poor cast that surrounded Cade at OK ST. That metric is called potential assists. Both Cade and Mobley had poor supporting casts, unlike Suggs and Green who had better spacing and better talent around them.
Mobley is not a guard but plays like one, so his assists are higher than other bigs and his turnovers are lower than other bigs - this indicative of skill and discipline. And his assist to turnover ratio is comparable to Green, which is telling considering Green is a guard so required to handle ball more. Combine that with his low fouls, it actually highlights his high IQ and ability to stay on the floor. Best ability is availability and all that.
Wtf? Yes, that's exactly what I think. Because i posted that I am now the all-knowing expert NBA scout and am always right because of my proof!! Lol... its called presenting some info to support an opinion. Only time will tell what happens.
So Jalen's offensive numbers were only what they were because many say he faced "weaker" competition in the G -League, yet his ast/to is spot on because he had superior teammates around him such as Kuminga who was shooting 24% from three on a generous five attempts and 38% from the field. Got it. Spoiler
We weren't talking about wins, my man. it was a discussion on Green's supposed inability to score 20 ppg right away barring he gets mins. Did you know Kobe didn't score 20 ppg until his FOURTH season?! I mean suuuuuure, he may have scored 19.9 in his third season, but that's not close to 20.
I think the Green camp thinks he is the key and accelerates the rebuild, I have not seen anybody say Mobley would be rookie of the year and most say he is a part of the rebuild not the centerpiece. I don't see where you are getting that.
And that makes Green the pick why? Is he a generational talent and if not why is he the pick? Since when do we have the luxury to be looking for generational talents, generational talents don't come in every draft so why are we judging Mobley on that?
MOF's sensitive because Evan Mobley is clearly a giant dork. If he comes to Houston, he will be our giant dork!
Lol and I would embrace that dork with open arms. I saw someone saying they were worried as Evan said he'd like to be a doctor one day. Jaylen Brown is smart as hell and he's the man, but that didn't stop NBA execs from questioning his love of the game. It's as if being a smart well rounded person was somehow seen as a negative. I'm stoked about both of these guys. Green and Mobley are so unique to me that it's hard to accurately gauge them. Yes they fit a certain archetype yet both seem to have come from their own distinctive molds which makes them even tougher to evaluate. Luckily that's not my job.
I have no idea and don't really care, I think his impact will be in line with everybody after Cade. I have no idea why anybody would be be picking on his impact as a rookie, MCW was rookie of the year did that mean they made the right pick? I am leaning Mobley because I think his skillset is the hardest to find, a big guy who like to play defense and also can have the offense run through him at the high post. You can find scorers in every draft which is why I lean Mobley.
