Harden wanted Westbrook. Westbrook's game was incompatible with a non-shooting center. Thus, Capela had to be dealt and it is Harden's fault.
capela didn’t have to be dealt man I swear harden is nba version of Donald trump to nba fans. Dude puts in work and gets no credit
he sure did. Having two non shooters on the floor next to harden is a plain disaster. Always has been. So it's not like you were trading westbrick who tilman embarrassingly traded for . Obviously the right choice was never to get westbrick in the first place, so as a domino effect Capela was the next piece gone. They obviously chose the wrong player
But, seriously folks - - might CC not have been traded had he not been injured? A question I have wondered about since it was effected.
that didn't really matter. He was playing through it all year. When he got dealt to the hawks who were playing for nothing, it just made sense to let him just sit. he was traded bc they invested so much in trading for westbrick and it was a forced move to try and make him fit. Here the rockets are now
nah its a pretty accurate comparison harden is called hitler and trump on reddit. thats where i got it from. nba fans really hate harden, and its crazy cause harden dont really say much he just hoops lol. Its crazy to me. But as long as they are hating i will be defending him
Capela was injured, Morey knew this was the last hoora, so he was trying to maximize his chances that year. I don't really have an issue with it. We preserved the asset chain, so its fine.
Terrible comp. For the record, I don't actually blame Harden for the CC trade. It made sense at the time because we thought we had at least 2-3 years where we could try to compete with Westbrook and Harden, and we had to trade Capela to get the most out of Westbrook.
Wizards don't have a spacing center and they did alright, enough to get to the playoffs. WB played with Steven Adams for years, OKC even got to WCF. Capela got dealt mainly because he was injured, Morey was desperate to win now.
the wizards were complete trash. they weren't a .500 team even in the east. alright...nah they flat out suck
KD had nothing to do with that. Neither did harden. And the game has changed a ton since then where guys like westbrick and simmons are completely exposed
We had no choice. Capela and Russ were incompatible. The real travesty is we didn’t secure another big down the road. Rumors suggest Nerlens was almost here which may have changed our fate somewhat
I don’t agree. My memory and sense is that he was dealt as damaged goods. Not heavily damaged as in for a new season but damaged for a p/o run.
