2 thing that made the Astros stink it was the rainout (lost rhythm) in Detroit and then have the MLB announce 7 Astros made the All-Star cut. The latter made them feel they can just walk to the field and win. This is 3 straight blowouts to the worst team in MLB and we had a pitcher tonight (from the Orioles) that had a 7.50 ERA. I'm guessing none of them watch video of Harvey. We lost to a team that haven't won a series this year except in the first series against the Red Sox, who were probaly caught with the pants down the first series like the Stros. Lucky in June, not in August.

Of the games I've been, either this one or the Marwin breaking up Darvish's no-no bid was the least enjoyable night at the ballpark. Looking at my phone to see what happened with the Strom ejection, and then seeing the baseball savant pitch chart for the 1st two walks put me in a bad mood the rest of the night.

Astros are a joke. This team isn’t going to the World Series. Might get upset in the divisional round if I had to bet

Unless they improve the bullpen and get healthy you will be right.

BTW, I thought Scott and Sulser would look great in an Astros uniform.

Utterly pathetic. Swept by a team that was 30 games under 500.

Just an absolute **** show after the rain ppd... go from hottest team in the league to swept handily by the shittiest team in the AL. I'm sick and tired of the excuses, we need to get a W today, and we need to take this series vs. CLE

The Orioles treated the Astros like one of Bauer's dates. Bad showing after such a good run. On the bright side they are still leading the division, but really missed an opportunity to get some space between themselves and the A's.

Not a great look for the Astros these days. Good news is Cleveland's above .500, so we should sweep. ;).

Bats can take 5 day naps and they did. Jose could only pitch an inning, followed by yesterday's sideshow ump. It all snowballed to a disastrous outcome.

You people realize the Astros are playing the game of baseball, right? This is not a sport to base your judgement off of a week of games (either positively or negatively). Winning 11 games in a row doesn't mean we are gonna roll through the playoffs and getting swept by a bottom feeder doesn't mean we suck. Sit back and enjoy the ride that we have a competitive team with a real chance to win. Baseball has always been about just getting into the postseason and hoping you get on a roll at the right time.

That is probably the worst ump result of the year with both accuracy and precision being off.

Has anybody tracked whether a bad performance behind the plate results in an extended time till the next game they get to work?

I know they'll never go public with that sort of info, but at the same time they have to have some sort of internal penalty/improvement plan in place for umps who are just awful.

It was the worst HPU job I've seen since Eric Gregg in 97.

And I get how it's calculated, but nobody who watched that game could come to the conclusion that Bucknor's calls favored the Astros in the end. Just the first inning alone gave the O's multiple runs and cost Garcia 2 IP on the mound.
