I love the player, but he simply doesn't fit here anymore.

He is one season away from becoming an Olidipo situation.

    I don't want a winning team of 19 and 20 year olds.

Underrated and "good" passer does not mean same thing.

What makes him not good? He has experience playing point guard from his days in High School. I think he shows strong potential in that department.

He still averages as many turnovers as he does assists, as he did in HS.

His passing ability is not one of his strengths right now. But agree that it isnt as negative as others have made it out to be.

Fun fact. Mobley and Green played on the same gold winning World Cup team where Jalen was named MVP. That MVP award along with all of Green's other trophies and gold medals are tucked away in the back of his closet. They're nice and all but the real prize is the NBA and the legacy he seeks to lay claim to. Thus he keeps them out of sight much as Shaq's dad had done for him all those years ago as a way to keep him motivated and hungry. Where's Mobley keep his medals? Well he keeps a personal shrine of all his accomplishments.

Can someone photoshop Jalen in the Clutch City throwbacks with the short shorts? I just want to get my body ready. Under a month to go.

Throw in KPj too. Give Green Houses number of course.

Jalen Green and Kevin Porter are probably looking at a Penthouse Highrise in Houston right now. BRUTHAS

can’t blame him…Detroit or Cleveland vs Houston is a no brainer

I bet Cade deep down wishes we had the #1 pick as well

I still like Green a bit more than Evan. Both of them are humble guys. I like that. Evan seems to be more mature , I believe Green is more passionate about the game. I could be wrong. It's upto the professionals to decide who is the best player to choose. Suggs probably won't be chosen as the second pick, but I won't be totally surprised if Houston selects him.

If he has the confidence to skip college and know he’ll be drafted, I bet he has the confidence to basically tell Detroit he wants to be drafted by Houston

kid seems very confident able letting people know where he wants to go

They both look to be incredible young men from a character standpoint. Green's work ethic and internal drive to be great really jumps out at me. The kid seems to be a pure hooper with a most genuine love for the game and those attributes can take him a long way. I also liked how Jalen spoke of that same industriousness when questioned about his draft status.

He could've easily said I'm the best scorer in this draft or something such, but instead it's the time and energy he puts in to be great. I'm better than everyone else because I outwork them. Plain and simple. That's tough and that;s going to serve him well long term whether he's with us or somewhere else. And really it comes as no surprise. After all he sought out his own basketball trainer as a 5th grader. That same man went on to become his step-father who also just so happened to have been teammates with DeShawn Stevenson. I'd imagine they've had their fair share of conversations about Jalen and what it takes to be successful in the pros. DeShawn was around one of the craziest workers in Agent Zero and would have firsthand knowledge of what it takes to be truly special and separate yourself from the pack. He also helped get Jalen on the court with NBA superstars as a 16 yr old during summer runs which is invaluable for a young player's growth and development.

I have to warn you. The so-called professionals screw up all the time.

Not all the time, but they sure make big mistakes and regret them.

I generally agree but I’m not sure about ASAP.

I think too many on here ( especially the Mobley camp) underestimate the length of our rebuild. I don’t see Mobley being the rookie of the year type but more of a multi year process. Our rebuild most likely will be somewhere between the Hawks and the Suns.

To me, the pick is Green unless Mobley is one of those generational bigs like a Hakeem/Shaq/Duncan. If he is another AD/Bosh type, while still good, they are clearly a tier or two below the others I just mentioned and better as second options rather than being "the man." Mobley has too high of a bust probability.

And yet Cade Cunningham with his 3.5:4 AST/TO is projected to be a 6'8" guard with playmaking skills on par with Luka.
