cant read the whole article... but i'm sure its some rationalization to further enable narcissistic desires by a spoiled diva... Rationalizations, gaslighting and coddling and enabling narcissistic behavior - the hallmarks of the Harden era... but hey... 'those that mattered did mind - and those that minded didnt matter'... right? imo...
CP3 was either injured or recovering from COVID this entire playoffs. Really the OKC series last year was the first time he made through a playoffs without getting injured since one of the early clippers playoffs.
Don't forget we're seeing Clint Capela play well. No dumb , run you in to the ground, making PJ Tucker play Center coaching decisions. CAPELA = LARRY BIRD
As I’m sure others have said , blame Tilman Morey would never trade CP3 for WB STRAIGHT UP without external pressure... much less throw in picks . harden may have wanted cp gone . But all reports were that he was fine . blame the guy who started publicly b****ing about CP3 as soon as we got him
The CP3/Westbrook trade wouldn't have happened unless Harden was on board with it so Harden deserves blame for siding against Morey.
sure . But 100 percent of the blame ? My gut is more like 40 or 50 I just know that Morey was likely not in favor. it wasn’t crazy to think CP3 was washed after that last playoff series . But using 4 assets to swap him for a guy 1 year younger was a mistake
Wood, Covington, Tucker, Paul, Harden with EG coming off the bench. Dont do that. You really dont have any shame about being wrong and then making this thread.
Thanks for sharing the video. Marbury dropping absolute FACTS! He sounds surprised though. This isn’t the first time Harden dribble dibble dribbled until there’s 4 seconds or less left on the clock before passing it up to a teammate. He used to do that **** all the time with us. Thing is that pass used to go to Ariza, Gordon, Rivers, Green, House etc. If KD’s brilliance couldn’t even bail out Harden wtf were those guys supposed to do? This is why I always said we’d never win a Championship with Harden as our best player. Harden’s gotta be one of the most Un-Clutch superstars ever and his decision making skills in pressure situations is truly baffling. Marbury is also spot on about Joe Harris. That guy is a role player and only Harden fanbois would try to point blame elsewhere to draw attention away from how bad Harden was again in the playoffs.
CP3 was old and wasn’t taking care of his body He didn’t decide to go vegan and try all the proper tools of maintaining his body until he was traded and got the wake up call that nobody wants a aging injury prone point guard
It's your fault for not reading between lines of DD hypocritical post. What he post shouldn't be taken literally, u can't take it at face value. When the man said garbage in and garbage out. It wasn't cp3 but his contract that was garbage. When he was btching about how cp3 was wasting harden prime, it was the expensive ass contract that was preventing Morey from building a contender effectively wasting harden chance for a ring. /s Pffft. At least the harden haters like Asian Sensation, fchowd and Ashleyem were consistent in hating harden, got more respect for them then this goal post moving poster acting like a bitter ex over harden. I know for a fact when dd was btching about cp3 in those post he was not btching about some dam contract but it was how cp3 was always getting injured. He'll, by the way this poster flip flop, he was probably praising cousins and wall when they were saying sht like we want to b here and other snide sht at harden, just to realize they both suck. Lol trying to use contributing member status to belittle others that calls out the hypocrite nice.
the backtracking is just too pathetic to ignore CP3 is wasting Harden’s prime was his words…he typed CP3 and his contract is what was hurting us THE MOST…he said that we were swapping garbage with garbage with CP3 and Russ then he has the nerve to be running his mouth and making threads…
Can you hear yourself? Harden himself might be good enough but his body language sure ain't good enough. That is exactly the 'diva attitude' that brought the downfall. This attitude, come on. CP3 did what Harden should have done long ago, use the Midrange!
It's cf's. we see the same folks being constant hypocrites who try to be the loudest around here. back pedaling and moving goalposts is a constant for these people
My whole thing that is difficult to understand is the process though, and some of that blame to me falls on Morey. Tilman may have been putting pressure on Morey to trade CP3, but how did 2 picks/2 swaps get put into the picture? I highly doubt Tilman was one on the phone with anyone with OKC and walked to Morey said "do this trade with the picks". Whoever doing the negotiation with OKC was probably Morey or something else in the franchise. As soon as OKC said those terms for the picks, why did Morey even give Tilman an option to okay it? I mean they took the time to force OKC to agree for Top 4 Protection on the 2021 pick swap that the Rockets (at the time) never expected to matter. There is no way Tilman was one spearheading that. OKC never had any real leverage. They had already promised Russ to trade him and he had told him he wanted to go to the Rockets though I think internally. Rockets didn't have a need to rush the trade, they had a full off season and honestly even up until the trading deadline if they wanted to push it.
Stephon Marbury? What da*^q? Why in the hell would anyone take anything Stephon Marbury says seriously? This dude forced his way out of MN to go play in NJ because he wanted to be the number one player and did not want to be second fiddle to Garnett, a HOF and champion. Marbury has and never will accomplish anything in the NBA. Guy had to go to China to get legitimacy. And please do not send me replies about his stats. No one says he was not a good player, but he was not a great player. Harden is a great player and is going to the HOF. So is CP3. The idea that Harden is to blame for the loss to the Bucks is ridiculous. I could easily say that Durant is to blame. He went 1-9 in the last 2 minutes of regulation and OT, and had 4 turnovers. However, that would also be silly because if it were not for Durant they would not have been in Game 7. Before Harden got to Brooklyn, the team was hovering around .500. With Harden, their record was 27-7 in games he played; that is a .794 winning percentage. This is a stupid argument. The real reason Brooklyn lost to the Bucks is the same reason Houston lost to the Warriors, short rotations. You cannot win in today's NBA playing 6-7 players. Nash has caught Dantoni's Disease; if he hopes to win, he needs to get rid of it. CP3 was an injury prone, out of shape, whiner when he was in Houston. Then, when people started to notice, he went out and met with LBJ's doctor and all of a sudden lost weight. Since then, he has been relatively healthy for two straight seasons and played 70 games in both. Too bad an NBA season is 82 games. I guess the NBA should shorten the season so he can stay healthy. Look, I am not a Harden apologist; he clearly did not come through in some big games and had a tendency to pout when things did not go his way, especially when he did not get the calls in the playoffs. Guess what? So does every other NBA star player. Finally, I know we all want to worship CP3 because he had a great game 6 against a depleted Clippers team, but lets hold on a second. That Suns team was 34-39 last season, and was 8-0 in the bubble, barely missing the playoffs. It also had great young nucleus of Booker, Bridges, and Ayton, plus Cameron Johnson and Cameron Payne, all lottery picks. They also signed role players like Frank Kominsky, Etwuan Moore and Dario Saric. Then this offseason they went and got some solid vets like Jae Crowder and of course, CP3. Finally, they have an excellent coach in Monte Williams; for me, one of my beefs with TF is that he did not fire Dantoni after the 2019 season and hire Monte Williams. Dantoni is just an above average coach and his 7 man rotations killed the Rockets and it killed the Nets this playoff season. If Dantoni was coaching the Suns we would never see Cameron Payne or Torey Craig.
I wonder how Tilman is enjoying these playoffs.... Wasn't Tilman going to revolutionize H-Town basketball? But that's what "Mr. Look-at-me" rockets owner wanted, he wanted to be on equal footing with his playa's..... He shipped out CP3 and Capella because they weren't good enough. He listened to Harden, only to get stabbed in the back by his precious Harden. I guess Tilman isn't as hip has he thought he was, he's just got the big pockets others want to pick from. Of course, with the politics up in the NBA headquarters, there's not telling if the "cough - cough" referee's would have been fair enough to call it evenly. But, it's obviously not because the players weren't talented enough. 57-3 and then the idiots break up the team.... - Lunacy!
