So he has "proven" he can score efficiently over a 15 game stretch against fringe NBA players and that's supposed to mean something?

So why is Hartenstein not an allstar when he "proved" that he could dominate the G league in more games.

It's crazy that we are now trying to claim the G league is now some great proving ground and it translates to the NBA.

Frazier did about the same things and what happened to him?

Since when is 18-3-4 proving anything?

What does it say when the average player Mobley goes against is weaker than the average player Green goes against?

What does it say watching a prospect play under NBA rules?

And the top ten conferences still have hundreds of players.....

And the current MVP of the G League would put up monster numbers if he went back to the NCAA, no?

Of course it matters, how else are you going to compare the competition between the two prospects?

Using my argument... you are going to compare a draft that happened in 2002 to one 2021? Also you get the awesome power of hindsight to know how good Yao was...... compared to projecting Green.

....gonna pass on that one since it doesn't seem like a fair argument.

I still find there are things to be gleamed from playing against G League competition..... which also uses NBA rules and has NBA coaches.....

And I've proved the overall competition in the G League is better in spite of the NCAA being the main pipeline. It's simply a numbers game. It's laughable to think the PAC12 wouldn't get blown out by the G league.

Harteinstein would dominate in the NCAA if he went back.... and that's my point about the overall level of competition.

All I am saying that the NBA MINOR LEAGUE WHERE THEY PLAY NBA RULES might offer some clues in the context of Green and being the first top high school prospect to go to the G League.

I'm sorry Green took the G League route and we need to have this conversation in the context of the draft.

Mobley not only has high level BB IQ, but so is his his overall IQ.

And he is a kid that stays out of trouble.

The NBA MINOR LEAGUE WHERE THEY PLAY NBA RULES is more conducive to scoring, yes it does offer clues but so does playing in college.

I am not knocking what he did there but I am not propping him for it either because players have had far better numbers and they have not translated to the NBA.

    And example #1 is Hartenstein.

Weird criteria to setup..... it almost favors defensive players over players like James Harden (0.7% block rate).

Right.... playing NBA rules against professional players. It's not about knocking or propping up.... it's about trying to project what a player will do in the NBA.

Yes, Hartenstein is a great example of a G League player being able to go down to the NCAA level and dominate.

Leave it to you to completely misunderstand or purposefully twist the point being made.

But you're the same guy who loves alternate realities amirite?

It doesn’t matter if he can kick a soccer ball to the Moon. I’m sold on Mobley being our future corner stone in the paint

Yes, plus he shoots FTs and the 3ball better than AD when he came out of college.

    Good eye.

    Singular.
