All I see in this mixtape is a 6'11 dude playing against a bunch of Altuves with 8 made three pointers sprinkled in. Oddly enough, Mobley had a way higher 3 point % in college shooting more threes than the Brow.
Mobley's footwork is nothing to mess with either. The weight? We've seen Brow put on 30lbs. Steven Adams looks like freaking aquaman now.

The more I watch of Mobley the more I'm starting to think he will be the pick.

Abused? o_O If you are referring to Drew Timme, that man has absurdly elite post footwork for the college level. Who else 'abused' him?

Also don't pretend he'll be facing Jokic and Embiid every night, no one is suggesting he's going to be the 2nd coming of The Dream for goodness sake.

Edit: even against Timme he had 17/5/3 while Timme had 23/5/4 ... that's a stretch to call that abuse.

Im referring to multiple college defenders

Many great bigs stand out in college. AD and Zion come to mind as of recently.

So if no one is suggesting he is the next Hakeem, why would you draft that person #2?

Support your guy, but I don't think it's fair to say Mobley got abused by anyone in college. It's a testament to his potential that he led a mediocre USC team to the final 4. Some of the drivel I'm hearing from the anti-Mobley crowd is head scratching.

I'm open to drafting either Mobley, Green, or Suggs, I'm just hoping the FO drafts the player they evaluate as best available and don't trade the pick. I'll leave the evaluation to the professionals but Mobley is clearly a top 3 quality pick given his skill set, size, and potential.

    We'll see

Stone is drafting based on what Fertitta says though. Doesn't matter what our scouts think. Just my assumption.

I disagree. Fertita is clueless on everything basketball….I think Stone is running his show finally as a GM and not having to tussle with Morey anymore.

    for real…what nonsense

his handle and perimeter skills are nice for a 7 ft big, but for a full-time wing it is nowhere near up to par…his shooting is also nowhere near good enough to be a wing, but is better than a good amount of C’s…same with his defense out on the perimeter…nice for a big, but not for a wing

    people need to stop…

It's not his opinion that he was pushing but team executives'.

    And Hollinger agreed with him.

Both guys will get it wrong on occasion but they're not some youtubers or something, they both get paid to evaluate and are well respected in the industry.

Hmm the option to play EM as an oversized wing has been ultra intrigued.

Every 19 or 20 year old with ONE year of experience removed from HS is a project.

It is crazy to believe otherwise.

And FYI, unlike AD, Mobley does not have a history of injuries.

All these narratives stating otherwise are being purposefully disingenuous.

Watching Mobley dribble, reminds me of a center dribbling. I am simply not seeing the Giannis super wing that his supporters seem to project. Struggling with contact finishes even at the college level too.

There are people in here excited that he can dribble between his legs. o_O

The defense I see. The offense is like hoping Thon Maker or Bol Bol will develop. Possible, I guess.

Mobley does not deserve any AD comparison.

And I wouldnt say EVERY 19 and 20 year old.

How many of those right now are destroying in the G League right now or ever?

Wonder how Mobley would fair in the G League actually.

Second round picks don't interest Tillman. He's all about the marquee hype names when/if they become available (Westbrook).

Ariza played the wing and he struggled at dribbling and passing.

Was not a great 3ball shooter when he first came out too.

And he was barely 200 lbs for most of his career.

Mobley is longer (7'5 vs. 7'3), taller (7'0 vs. 6'8) and his lateral agility is nearly as good.

There is no question that Mobley's vision and ball handling are already light years ahead of Ariza right now.

And Mobley is the superior athlete overall, Mobley's vertical pop is outstanding.

Like Ariza, Mobley is very switchable - but in a 7 foot frame.

Green did not destroy the G League, your ridiculous hyperbole is not doing the kid any favors.

    Just stop.

And I agree, I do not believe Mobley is as good as AD, especially on offense - AD is the more natural scorer.

But Mobley is better long ball shooter than AD coming out, that is just fact.

    Thats not entirely true.

He was quoted in saying he believed Flynn and Rubio were better prospects than Curry

He also perpetuated alot of the Darko hype in the media.

We all know how that went.
