I haven't heard anyone say Mobley could be the 1st pick.

"With the potential to be a top 5 offensive big of all time"....

Was that tweet from Mobley's agent?

    This....

To edit, Mobley maybe a better playmaker, but Wood is a pretty good scorer.

Trying to figure out who Mobley will become in the league. A milder stretched out Draymomd Green with a jumper is my conclusion.

Even if he's a offensive bust he'll be a defensive stud. You can't lose with Mobley. Where are these stronger bigs? Only one I can thinkof, but he plays face up, is...Zion? Shaq is retired. Capela just now finally grew some nuts. AD? He's not so big himself. The league is not like it used to be.

Draft Jalen Green and give Zhou Qi another chance...he has the same body type and play style as Mobley....should be just as good defensively.

In the West alone you have Jokic, Ayton, KAT, Valanciunas, and Nurkic. AD is an issue on the block when he wants to be.

Evan Mobley shouldn't be passed on simply because he has a thin body type, the guy just turned 20 this month. He will fill out just like Capela did over his first few seasons. That body type gives him the quickness that presents the sort of upside that is extremely rare.

Imagine if Capela could also shoot from outside and create from the high post. That's the vision with Mobley I believe.

Been watching some highlights and I don't understand why people keep saying Mobley has high bust potential.

He already has as much skill as Giannis and AD coming out, his defense alone means he will not be a bust and his playmaking ability is better than AD and Giannis.

Green is very skinny as well but nobody knocks him for that.

I really like the way Mobley plays in the high post. He will definitely need to play in a non traditional offense if he can tighten up his handle he will be a top 10 guy.

Have you seen Zhou Qi recently...he's jacked. Rockets need to resign him.

No reason to draft Mobley...with defensive stud Zhou Qi available! He has a better jump shot then Mobley to...and he's just as quick on his feet. Can guard 1-5!

The post, although succinct, provides one of the most compelling reasons for drafting Mobley instead of Green. The good news is that the Rockets can gamble on individual players on a long term basis and it takes a longer time to develop the full potential of bigs compared to guards and SF's.

I can't disagree....I always like Zhou. Never wanted to get rid of him. Rockets or should I say Harden never gave him a real chance.

It’s a guard league. Take Green and call it a day.

Jokic sure.....but Mobley can face up and is quicker on the dribble. AD been missing since last season no doubt he'll get back to form. The point is none of these Center are that much stronger. Very good, yes. More experience, sure. Mobley is no Hasheem Thabbeet though lol
