Who knows but size is so important, and trends don't last forever. Its guard's league until a couple of big men ala Giannis start to take over, if Bucks win it all and a couple of big skilled men enter the league we could be ahead of the curve. No, we aren't going back to the 90's center's, but these thin, athletic and defensive hybrids that are capable of hitting some threes could become the new trend. Still, I hope we see green put that Rockets cap on... Dude is amazing. But Mobley could be the homerun.
I’m trying to sell myself on both options. I’m just concerned about Mobley’s potential as a goto number 1 option offensively. Id be higher on him if I felt an Embiid or Giannis type offensive dominance as his ceiling. Bosh and KG comparisons don’t excite me. Ive heard he’s an intelligent guy tho. Hopefully he would pick up on Hakeem’s teachings quickly.
Still big name players in this league that other teams want. Also, it is about having a foundation and then having the right roster additions. Bulls really haven't done much. That Vucevic trade was wild. Wizards are pretty much in the same boat. I believe Stone has a vision and knows what he is doing unlike the Wizards and Bulls lol
Porter is the #1 option on our offense, because he is our best playmaker hence he will have ball most often. #1B option on offense should be Wood if we follow the analytics. Unless Silas allows Wall to go Franchise Player mode again. In any case a rookie will not be the #1 option on offense, no matter if Green or Mobley. But a rook can make immediate impact on defense. Who do you believe would do that best?
Wasn’t really speaking on immediate impact or team building as far as next year. I’m talking later down the line. Potential and ceiling. Im asking for a case for Mobley as a potential number 1 option on a contender in his prime. His defensive presence is undeniable.
I am sold, Mobley can bring it even with his thin frame. Check out these highlights I am sure You saw them already…this is Wiseman vs Mobley
I’ve got him #2 behind Green in my head rankings. That’s ahead of Cunningham. Currently I think you can anchor a defense with him and he adds more offensively than he takes away. I want to hear he loves the game and has 110% drive. I’m inclined to go with the big, but Green could be a bigger Iverson with his skill, athleticism and drive.
