Nope. That gap between Green/Mobley/Suggs is massive between them and Kuminga. 8 would net us another player not that far off Kuminga (Moody? Franz?) And we would be way better off in the short and long term with Green/Mobley or Suggs
Here is Today’s Random collection of trades a 3 way with the ideal value for each team. 6ers Wall & #24 For Simmons and Paul Reed (filler) Wall fits and Simmons has worn out his welcome plus saves 3 years of super max contract and picks up a draft choice. GSW Gordon, Wood, House & #23 For Wiggins, 7 & 14 Make a run with the championship core. Timeline is today and adds Wood to Wiseman and the pick for the future while saving money to do so by braking up a max contract and not paying for high end raw talent to mature while the core of the team mature but still have some younger talent. They add 3 NBA starters and a pick and move one of the worst contracts in the league. Us Simmons, Wiggins, (Paul Reed -Filler) #7 & #14 For Wall, Gordon, Wood, House, #23 & #24 We are playing with fire by taking on big contracts that haven’t really worked out to well. BUT neither have had a roster built around them to highlight their skills. We are putting together talent and more talent with even more talent. This is the fastest rebuild ever or explosive nightmare that will take years to undo. It’s been said potential gets coaches fired. This is nothing but potential. So many pieces with rotation worthy players but some are positionless and NEED a system that highlights their skills BEFORE adding the 2nd 7th & 14th lottery picks from the deepest draft in a long time. 2, 7, 14, Simmons, Wiggins, Tate, Porter, Martin, Augustin, Thomas, Bradley, Brooks, & the bird rights to Olynyk if needed. Plus the undrafted, free agency & our free agents to fill out the roster. It’s been said it’s the GM’s job to get the best players possible and the coach’s to make it work. Stone will have done his job and have his “fingerprints all over it”. Is Silas able to manage so many moving pieces and egos? I personally want to see the Silas system that make it all work as a team. Talent infused with talent making the team better than it’s parts. If it works at 75% or better we are champions in a 2 maybe 3 years. —> dynasty. Go Rockets!
Not including Wood would be the dream, but it's going to be nearly impossible. As bad as Simmon's stock is right now, he's not a negative asset. I bet there will be a team that's willing to give up a mid-first or late lottery pick for him at the minimum. Wall is a significant negative asset and EG is probably a neutral to slight negative asset. The only positive assets that the Rockets have are Wood, Tate, KPJ, and KMJ. If the Rockets can flip two of KPJ, KMJ, and Tate plus Wall for Simmons instead of Wood, I'd totally pull the trigger. Doubt Sixers will go for that though.
NOP IN: Wall, #23 and #24 HOU IN: Bledsoe, Adams and #10 Not sure why the Pelicans do this but this is where random trade ideas go, right?
Eric Gordon and #2 for OG Anunoby and the #4 We run out: Jalen Suggs 19 Kevin Porter Jr. 21 Jae'Sean Tate 25 OG Anunoby 23 Christian Wood 25 - KJ Martin 20
Pistons get number 2 pick (Green) and their first round pick back, and DJ Augustine . Rockets get number one pick Cade Cunningham.
