the only reason i put jalen green a little bit ahead was the Baylor game that was the only reason yeah he hit big shots but you have to think thought when in big pressure situations which he kinda showed against baylor and almost against UCLA it was almost over that is the only two reason why i had Green over Suggs

Reading this was like an Allen Iverson crossover on my brain

    I love Suggs .

    but I think he’s too small . I think he’s slightly under 6’4 barefoot and only has like a 6’5.5” wingspan .

he could be a great PG and SG defender , but I’m not sure he’s big enough or long enough to stop the bigger boys .

    he’s a very good athlete .

If he could shoot better that would probably push me over

if he was 6’5” with a 6’9” + wingspan it would probably push me over .

green is just a bit bigger and scoring is still rarer .. and the skill floor is higher for guards.

As others have said , if we could move back and take Suggs I’d do it depending on the return . I think Suggs still has a chance to be special despite his size . I just think if he’s your best player and you want to compete for a championship you have to build around him more than a fulfilled Mobley or green could slot in with multiple players .

wouldn’t be a massive reach . If you believe in KPJ and Tate then that’s a pretty 1-3 . With shooting being the limiting factor , but you hope it improves .

IS he better than KPJr? That would be what makes me question it.
How does he pair with KPJr?

I'm mat not be the one to ask, I'm high on Suggs, and low on KPJ

I think he will be a better, more impactful winning player than KPJ, baring a huge jump in KPJ's defense and efficiency

I think they would pair together fairly well, both have good vision, KPJ is a score-first player, I imagine Suggs will be more of a pass-first player at the next level. KPJ was horrid on defense, Suggs has the tools and IQ to be a defensive stud.

Can't go wrong with having two guys who can handle the ball in the backcourt, problems arise when they can't shoot, or are unwilling to pass. Both are willing passers, but both need to improve their 3PT shooting.

I seriously do not understand all the Suggs hate, and all the love for Green. Everyone just loves flashy big dunk, Suggs is obviously the safer pick

My man, he shot 33% from 3 and he's got stellar form. He will absolutely without a doubt be formidable from beyond the arch at an NBA level.

Suggs is going to go to Toronto and become a perennial all star while we'll be stuck with the Zach LaVine/Andrew Wiggins prototype that never pans out into a winning player lmao. Suggs or Mobley, stay tf away from Green at #2

You have to swing for the fence with the #2 pick.

I like Suggs and think he he is going to be a good player. But I am seeing a lot of Shane Battier there. Low ceiling, high floor. We may miss on Jaylen Green or Evan Mobley, but if they are legit, we hit a homerun. Down the road, there's a good chance Suggs will be available in a trade because he wasn't the superstar the team that drafted him thought he would be. Suggs is the safe pick. I don't think we should play it safe at #2.

After reading this entire thread all I can say to add to this conversation is that I don’t know much about any of these college guys but what I do know is stone is gonna hustle that pick and get a good player while also getting some of that sweet sweet luxury tax savings

That's not really much for a #2 overall pick in a, what seems to be, loaded draft at the top...

We'd need more than #7 and a project big man I'm sure. Maybe add #14 and another unprotected 1st rounders and I'm sure you'd get Stone's attention.

For everyone who is trying to compare Suggs to Kidd (including you John Hollinger) - a public service announcement.

Jason Kidd averaged 7.7 and 9 assists for Cal in his only 2 college years with more steals, rebounds and points than Mr. Suggs

    Juuuuuuuuuust Sayin'

If Suggs had truly comparable numbers to Kidd I'd be all over him too, but only comparable traits as collegiates were the poor shooting splits.

Suggs is awesome just not my first 3 choices. That doesn't mean he won't pan out or even that Stone won't draft then trade him for something.

Well, you'd lose GS attention before you got there ...

Negotiations must start high, especially if there is a team "desperate" for a certain player within the top 3 range....

I would hang up immediately if they offered #7 and Wiseman alone.

The fun part is KNOWING where these picks have fallen and who will most likely be available... that would be the advantage of executing a draft day deal versus trading future assets for a potential lottery pick as OKC did with us in the Westbrook trade. We would have to take advantage of just knowing.

If the Rockets came out of the draft with Wiseman and Davion Mitchell I'd say they scored big.

Of course they would. But we wouldn't.
