Cole and Verlander (but especially Verlander) should've been rested more the last month of the season. But that's always easier said than done especially for guys having historic seasons.

FYI......DiMaggio had a 1.119 ops with 52 walks to 20 strikeouts in '39. He also hit .381. Unreal. Also, the Yanks won the title that year and the Angels lost in the ALCS in '79.

It was highly entertaining back in the day and guys like Mick Foley and Stone Cold really did put their bodies on the line. Just got done watching the A&E documentaries that came out this year on some of the legends of that business so I've got wrestling on the brain. WWE is pretty awful now and not on the level of stuff that I remember sadly. Wrestlemania at the Dome in '01 w/ my dad was a blast.

A's fighting for a split today, then they get SF. The rat is going to miss the next series with us at least.

The O's are terrible but still a very impressive amount of runs put on by the Stros.

If you don't remember Paul Bosch and Houston Wrestling at the Sam Houston Coliseum then you're too young.

At this point though, it's clear the dude is scared. That's fine. That says a lot more about him than anything. Even if he did pitch against us, we'd tear him up.

I think Cole was fine in the post-season, but Verlander was clearly a shell of himself in the World Series. The Astros would have been much better off had Verlander/Cole struggled at points in the season and some other pitcher would have been a clear favorite for the Cy Young.

I dunno. I watched pro wrestling until I was about 13, maybe 14. I was watching when it was the golden age witj all the big hitters like Hogan, Bundy, Snooka, junk yard dog, Dibiase, Duggan, savage, piper, Andre etc....

I still outgrew it in my adolescence. Its not at all interesting or entertaining once you’re past a certain age. Now, if you’re watching it with your 8-13 year old son, thats probably pretty enjoyable.

Too young you say? Not possible for Fiers. Interesting how we are talking about different topics, but it all relates to Fier's bit*h a**. What a POS human being.
