    What about trading back a bit to say #4 but get good young role player or say #1 pick next year, like the Atlanta-Dallas trade a few years ago?

    I'd say there are bigger questions/concerns about Mobley, Green or Suggs, than there were about pre-draft Luka/Trey.

    I wouldn’t want to trade back just for future draft capital. I think we have enough, haha.

    Your other option is interesting, though. Any thoughts on what that might look like? I can only think of Sexton and 3 for 2 or OG and 4 for 2.

    The Hawks would have a decent shot of winning the championship this year if they had Luka instead of Trae. Why are you using this as a positive example lmao

    This talk of trading the pick means that Tilman just saw the base salary level for 2nd overall pick in the draft?

    People on here thinking we are getting Luka, need to wake up Dallas is not trading him. We will not get equal value for this 2nd pick in the draft. Who would be available? Some fringe all star player who can’t be the face of a franchise? B level talent…

    It would be the dumbest move ever if we trade this pick for a veteran star player like Beal or something. The literal dumbest move ever.

    I think it's just postering. I have no doubt someone from Houston leaked it to Woj because they want to see if someone gets really crazy like say...trade Zion or Ja Morant...otherwise they aren't REALLY considering it. Any good FO would be open to taking offers of course.

    I feel like there are two rumors for every draft in any sport...

    "The projected #1 pick might not go #1 after all!"
    And
    "Some team in the top 5 is looking to trade down"

    Both of these rumors are usually just postering and teams trying to find all their options.

    I’d trade back to 3 or 4 for some extra compensation because I’m not seeing a big difference in any of these top guys. That’s about it. Luka isn’t being traded to Houston and I can’t think of any current attainable player I’m interested in.
