So many possibilities. I’m eyeing two teams for a potential Christian Wood deal on draft night: Toronto at #4 and Golden State at #7. If we could end up with picks 2 and 4….. man.
Oh lord. The possibilities of Tilman messing this up is scary. I can see his dumbass trading the 2 pick for Brogdon or McCollum. Take Mobley and develop him with KPJ in the PnR for next year with KJ and Wood improving and try to get another top 2 pick next year
I had a friend text me if I'd be willing to trade the No. 2 overall for KAT or Lavine, and I don't think I would. Dealing for a borderline top 20 guy pushes you closer to mediocrity, but this team isn't anywhere close to being a playoff squad. They need to benefit from multiple seasons of high draft picks and figure out who its franchise players and what its identity is. On the flip side, though, I would 100% flip Wood for a second pick in the top 5 given the chance. If you could pair Mobley with Green or Suggs, that would be ideal. Those two guys would be on the same time frame as KPJ, and you'd have a legitimate young 20-year-old core to build around. That would be incredible.
You sir are correct. You need a top 10 talent to win it all in this league and Green could be that. Lavine and KAT not.
Detroit has 3 SRP's. I would offer our numbers 2, 23, and 24 for the 1st pick plus one second round pick. @ApacheWarrior @D-rock @Nook
Cade is not worth that much unless you are moving up like 4 spots. To move up one spot...no thanks. Would rather keep the solid pick at 2 PLUS the other two potential picks later in round 1.
Magic would be the only team I see trading with. The #8 pick for Wood,#24 possiblity. Rockets could just sign kelly on the cheap, and find a center at #25. You could draft Green and maybe Keon johnson. That could be next big 3 celtics like team with KP and Martin.
The roster is too full to add 3 rookies without trading Wall and EG. Cade would have an immediate impact while Mobley is hopefully John Collins in 4 years.
