Only made the 4th seed and those numbers mean nothing cuz he's an absolute defensive liability. CP3 exposed him in the playoffs.

No ever year teams that are up there and good don't make it. They happen to be playing wihtout their 2nd best player, they were among the best when he was there. Like we saw with the nets, they didn't get 'exposed' they ended up losing bc they had injuries and then the other team capitalized on it. Context matters, it happens each year. Not many people, less than a handful can affect so many parts of the game like Jokic did this year. Easily deserved and I'd say the same about Embiid. He didn't get 'exposed' either ,his team lost to a team that adjusted better, Simmons was taken advatnage of, not embiids fault. basketball is not played by 1-1, don't let ESpn/TMZ fool ya

Lol I don't listen to ESPN ever. I hate biased media. I will tell you this now. No team led by Jokic can ever win a title unless every other teams loses their stars due to injury. No one is afraid of the nuggets. Even with Murray around, they might have won 1 game ha the Suns? Jamal Murray isnt even that good. Don't let last years bubble randomness trick you into thinking otherwise. Tyler Herro sucks, TJ Warren Sucks, Jamal Murray is average.

Michael porter Jr will soon be the best player on the Nuggets. The sooner they realize that the better. I'd trade Jokic now. He's value will never be higher and he will always get exposed in playoffs because he is just too slow. There is a reason Harden was like 12-1 vs him. Harden sought him out in the pick and roll all day long.

I love jokic's game and I'm not trying to hate on him. But you just can't win with him cuz his defense is atrocious.

Agreed - I was going to compose a similar post. A healthy lineup consisting of the players below is 35 win team -- i.e. on the cusp of the play-in games. Not a good team, but a team that can win on any given night and not a cellar-dweller. Injuries decimated this year's team.

PG: John Wall / Kevin Porter Jr
SG: Eric Gordon / Danuel House
SF: Jae'Sean Tate / KJ Martin
    PF: Christian Wood
    C: Kelly Olynyk

If you put a top 4 pick on this team, and can find a rotation player out of one of the later first round picks, then this could be an interesting squad in a couple of years.

Here is my breakdown using the verbiage that the article did.

    1. FOUNDATION: I dont have a good handle on the foundation. I think Fertitta, Jr., Stone and Silas would all have incomplete grades as each has said or done things that are hit and miss. I am more willing to give Silas a pass given the Harden fiasco and COVID/injuries. Stone has not completely sh** the bed but the return for James (specifically overvaluing Oladipo) wasnt great. The Fertittas talk a good game but leave me with the impression they are over their heads sometimes.
    2. PILLARS: KPJ and Wood are the current pillars. Hopefully we add a top draft pick this summer to this category. I think KPJ and Wood make a pretty good PnR combo with KPJ able to take it to the rack or make the pass or lob and Wood able to either roll or pop for the open J. I think Cade fits best with these two but I also like Kuminga's fit. Green, Mobley and Suggs are a little bit more of a problem fit I think though they are the better players than Kuminga.
    3. FILLING IN THE HOUSE: Khyri, Martin, Tate are the guys I see as the guys most likely to be contributors next season and beyond. Wall and EGo are on borrowed time as both will be moved at the first opportunity in my opinion.

    Hope for next season:
    Wall/Thomas
    KPJ/Gordon/Brooks
    Cade/Tate/Murphy (pick 23)
    Olynk/Martin
    Wood/Bassey (pick 24)
