Pessimism reigns. If we get Cade or grren we are playoffs contenders. KPJ, Cade.KMJ, wood, olynk Bench: wall, Gordon Nwaba,Tate = elite bench then add 23 and 24
Guard driven league. Cade clearly #1, but Suggs is 2nd best guard and then Jalen Green is 3rd best (actually receiving a lot of praise recently). Mocks have Evan Mobley going 2nd, but I'm not that high on him.
You may need it ..... If we end up with 18 I think half the forum will wake up sometime next week with a hangover ..... muttering something incoherent about Tilman & Westbrook.
They went 6-45 to end the season. Let that sink in for a second. The Rockets are much, much further away from being a playoff team than a single rookie. Even if they get extremely lucky and get Cade, this is a bottom 10 team in the league next season, guaranteed.
I think one of things that is so intriguing about Cade is his ability to play 1-4 (4 in a pinch probably). He can run your offense from any position allowing you the flexibility to just put your best players, almost regardless, around him. For the record I think KPJ ends up being a lot like a bargain version of pre-MDA James Harden. A SG that you run a ton on PnR through who can either score it himself or make the read to the roll man. That Harden was a great offensive player but was not the all time juggernaut he later became under MDA. I would like KPJ to develop more into a PG because I think he would bring elite size to that position allowing for, perhaps, him becoming a plus defender.
Had a dream we drafted Cade then traded Wall, 23, 24 and unprotected '22 first for Simmons. Cade, KPJ, Tate, Simmons, Wood
lol on first take while they were looking for trades, i immediately thought of John Wall. I think Simmons needs to play a Draymond Green like role. Either way, he's just too young to not take a chance on and his defense is elite. Our coach, John Lucas and staff are great support system too. Speaking of First Take, even if Ben can never truly develop a jump shot, there's no reason he can't develop into a reliable free throw shooter. Magic was a 91% and 90% FT shooter with that one handed shot put. Karl Malone developed from a 48% FT shooter to a high 70s % It's not impossible. Calvin Murphy would have his work cut out for him, but its not impossible

Not that this really matters until tomorrow, but I keep going back and forth in my head on Mobley and Suggs. Suggs i don't like the potentially lower ceiling. But I'm super intrigued by a dude that can just be super super solid. I am increasingly ok with him as the pick, as a 6'4, CP3 light solid PG is incredibly useful in today's NBA. Mobley, while I think he has unicorn potential because of how good he can be defensively... the playoffs go on and once again you're like, a big, pass... unless Lebron or the like is walking through the door as player #1, rather trade the pick for future assets. You can get a Clint Capela - esque big later in the draft. Still Cade all the way, so hopefully lotto gods help us out. Cade reminds me of both Booker and Tatum...
