4 years of taking from the best record to the worst while wrecking the team...

    But hey....

James wanted Chris Paul out after year two. Then he forced his trade after year three to chase another second round exit. Bottoming out in year four was the thing that made the most sense.

Despite all that, you believe you have enough info to assume that it’s impossible to win a championship. Seems logical.

What was Tilman's excuse for not spending on the team after his worst year? Instead he went for luxury tax savings and always has.

And Tilman had nothing to do with wanting Westbrook here and not wanting anything to do with CP3, despite he himself talking about it?

Also its not just James that wanted to get away from the guy. What about Morey and Mike?

You think rebuilding is easy? It took ages for Rockets to get back to being a contender after the 90s. And that was with a GOOD GM and an owner that wouldnt meddle as much.

Very rarely does a team come across a franchise player like Harden that drags the team to playoffs year after year as a contender.

Now this team does not have that player or the GM.

Instead a shitty owner under which the team has regressed every year and a GM that takes pride in charge of the worst team in the league.

    Hahaha

This seems like a bad idea, he's already not the most durable of players...

That's because Les actually did meddle. He refused to let the Rockets tank and do a true rebuild. They lucked into a lot of the players they landed after the 90s. Francis didn't want to play in Vancouver. They got a friendly ping pong ball bounce and won the #1 pick which led to Yao. T-Mac then wanted out of Orlando(who was acquired in exchange for Francis who they only had due to the Grizzlies' aforementioned misfortune).

People keep conveniently overlooking that the Rockets won only one playoff series in a 17-year stretch(1998-2014) during Les' tenure as owner. A lot of that was due to their GMs having to rebuild or reload while trying to remain competitive.

It would honestly be a crime against America if he didn't play.

The level he's playing at right now is absolutely incredible, US didn't even make it to the finals for the world cup, Spain, France, Australia, Serbia, Greece, and Argentina have nice teams.

I think I covered that with didnt meddle "as much". I didnt say he didnt meddle.

Ironically both owners were given a top contending team as rookie owners.

One was the reason the team won the ring a second time around and remained relevant for a couple more years after that.

The other has been the reason that the team has been completely dismantled in just 3 years.

Booker - KD - midrange game makes me miss pre-no midrange Harden … we would have a ring. CP3 midrange was the balancing act, if only Harden took more

Midrange and some Post Up moves.

Isaiah Thomas has said it himself. You must use the whole floor.
Whatever is open you must take take the open shot. Sadly James Harden forces a tough 3 point shot instead of a open midrange 2 point shot.

    A 3 is better than a 2

Me watching Harden in the Playoffs for years. Take the easy 2 points, why are you making it difficult for yourself and failing on purpose by forcing up 3 pointers.

A forced missed 3 pointer is worse than a easy midrange 2 pointer

2 points is better than 0 points

As a Playoff Player Devin Booker and Trae Young I think surpassed James Harden in midrange game in the Playoffs.

Luka Doncic is developing bad habits by playing 1 on 5 similar to James Harden.

I guess it's alright if the nets rest him during the season. I mean they could run with Kyrie and Harden for the first 15 games and win all 15...but yeah I'm worried about his durability going forward.

You're right though...Team USA is a mess right now.

Man if he would've stayed with the Rox, I think they would beat the Suns in a 7 game series.

That's what happens when you don't win with your star(s) and your window is closing -- you have to trade and start over. Even the Lakers imploded after Kobe dynasty. This is part of sports. Very few teams can remain competitive indefinitely. Tilman has made some bad moves, but so did Morey -- even before Tilman. And it was essentially Les that gave CP3 that awful contract which put us in a precarious cap situation. Let me remind you that every single owner considers tax implications. Even Steve Balmer. It's ludicrous to pretend like owners, just because they're billionaires, should just spend absolute max no matter what. Because no team does that and it is irrational justification for hating Tilman.

It's probably his last chance to win something, why pass that up?

    Its a vacation.

The US will have a great team, the chance to wind a gold ins extremely high.

The gold medal is a worthy collection to your resume.

You know Melo will 100% commit to it if he will be considered even when he will turn 50.

    "James Harden was Logo James".

Nah, James is always the same James, never changed.
