We are not getting nothing. We are trading for future. Those unprotected first round picks when Nets will be bad.

Thank God we didn't trade for Simmons. Yes, we wound up with the worst record in the league, but if we don't get screwed by the ping pong balls on Tuesday and the Nets don't somehow rebuild on the fly when Father Time defeats Durant and Harden in a few years, the deal with Brooklyn will eventually pay huge dividends. And best of all, we don't have Simmons' max deal on the books through 2025. There's no way the Sixers will be able to move that.

The good thing about Ben Simmons though is that he's probably gonna get clowned this off season like no player has ever been clowned before. This is going to be one of the biggest value 180s we've ever seen. If he didn't want to work on his shooting before he absolutely HAS to now. I wouldn't be surprised if he was shooting by next season.

So it turned out the Jaylen Browners were right in the end, at least in the context of packages centered around a blue chip player.

This has been obvious to 76ers fans. And at least half of the Rockets people here. He can play a role, but definitely not a franchise guy.

Imagine getting stuck with his contract and Wall's.

MPJ was my ideal singular somewhat plausible guy to get back in a Harden trade. I'm calling a dub on that, especially relative to Simmons and Herro (I'd have been happy with Brown).

I was okay with Simmons, though, so even that was still bad.

I was wrong as hell. We should have ended up with Caris + that tall afro mother****er from the Nets.

Didn't realize Simmons was this big of a mental midget. Giannis is a no skill loser but Simmons is a no skill loser AND a complete mental midget.

That tall afro motherfer on the nets is seeking a max contract this offseason, and Caris sucks, so you are wrong as hell again.

You really held on to that post all that time???

I'm fine with the take. Rockets were garbage, he would have still made us a better team and he still has a lot of value. A lot of the pro Ben Simmons people just thought he had a lot more value and flipping then keeping. I don't know how many people here were like "Oh yea bruh, he's gonna lead us to the championships."

Philly if they traded him right now, today, would get a ransom of picks or whatever they wanted.

There's a reason actual young talent like MPJ and Brown were never truly offered, while Morey was hell bent on unloading Simmons.

It's also why Morey couldn't find a third team for Simmons if we wanted picks
