I’m honestly shocked that a coach can allow one of your best players to play with a grade 2 hamstring injury. You’re supposed to miss around 5 to 6 weeks with that….. sometimes 8 weeks. Harden played after just 10 days. I honestly thought Harden only had a grade 1 strain, but having a grade 2 is concerning.

Nash took a big gamble there…. and it could have ended horribly. I don’t care if it’s for the series. You’re still at 2-2 and you’re the coach. You make the decisions. Let KD carry and see if he can win this series without Kyrie and Harden. Honestly, Nash should be fired for that decision alone. They can do with a better and more experienced coach in any case.

An excuse isnt an argument. The prob with you is you dont read other people's posts, even if it's your own just reworded.

There will probably be some frustration and spillover from this year. Let's hope. The Heat didn't win in year 1 though IIRC.

It's not just about the rings it's about the consistency. Curry is the best shooter in history, and that skill is consistent both regular season and playoffs. It makes him extremely compatible with pretty much every other superstar.

Harden's playstyle becomes extremely reliant on the refs not being biased or making mistakes in the playoffs. In a vacuum, sure Harden is better than Steph. But in a situation where you already got a KD then Steph is better cuz he is a deadeye shooter. Even on one leg Steph will shoot better than 2/12 from 3 if there's a superstar taking the heat from him.

You also have to factor Harden had the chance to shut the Steph fanbois up when Curry won the MVP but he wilted and got spanked really hard in their H2H matchup (inb4 @HP3 comes with an excuse for that game).

It’s pointless having discussions on this board.

He just played 3 46 minute games in a row with a grade 2 hamstring injury. He’s supposed to be out for at least 6 weeks with that. Not just that, by game 5 that was only Harden’s 9 game back in roughly 3 months. How the hell do you expect him to do much against one of the most physical teams in the league?

After that Boston series, Harden was about to destroy the Bucks. He was in great form, shooting well, moving well. He just got the unfortunate luck of getting a bad hamstring injury.

I would agree that Steph is probably a better #2 while Harden is a better #1 if that makes sense. Steph isn't gonna pull a load all year but he's going to be an ideal complement to a slasher.

Has Curry ever played through a grade 2 hamstring injury? No. Because he usually has 3 other all-stars to help him.

When Curry gets a slight injury, he usually sits out and doesn’t risk it. There is no way Curry would have played with a grade 2 hamstring injury in any case, so it’s pointless making that assumption.

Well considering Harden played like **** maybe he should have just sat and not risk aggravating his injury right?

I know you wanna give Harden credit for being tough but the dude didnt pull an MJ and clutched it out he shot 30% from the field and had minimal defense due to his low mobility. If the result is the same whether he played or sat better to just sit.

Man this Harden guy is the ultimate victim. Every playoffs year after year it’s something holding him back but never his poor play. Ever!

I wonder if Embiid gets eliminated he’ll reveal how his meniscus tear isn’t just a slight tear but a severe tear.

Yes agree. And thats ultimately why Steph is better cuz no no. 1 will win a game by himself so you need at least 2 guys anyway and thats where Steph really shines. People forget but there are a lot more no 1s than no 2s available theres more than 30 No. 1s in the league rn if you got money you can get a no 1.

If you got KD and Harden vs KD and Steph pretty sure KD and Steph would win most of the time.

The crazy thing is the refs were on the Nets side and they still lost.

My only gripe is If you're gonna play, then go all out... Harden clearly was hurt ,but unfortunately, he doesn't contribute much with the ball out his hands anyway.. Hard to tell if the injury kept him from getting back on defense , staying in front of penetration , or blocking out taller defenders... Because he doesn't do it often ,anyhow, when he's healthy...
Nash should be demoted to assistant coach immediately... He had bodies that could have provided rest for KD and Harden this series... Shameet is capable of playing 15-20 mpg.. Claxton and even old ass Jordan can combine for 20 mpg... This is on Nash's privileged ass...
