Watch as the years go by and not having control of your draft for seven years compounds the issue. Brooklyn still has a chance to make some noise but they just missed their best shot and it is not coming back.

Article outlines the major decision points for Nets this off-season.

Honestly I'd be stunned if all the Big 3 sign the extensions. I feel Kyrie and KD want to see how this plays out.

I'm also a little surprised that Dinwiddie is opting out being out all season with injury. I know lots of teams overlook that, but pretty big risk when $12 million is just right there.

He wanted out of Houston once Morey & Company we’re shown the door by Tilly. And PJ asked to be dealt too.

Nets are easily the favorites to come out of the east next year.

All three stars can be free agents after the year and rockets fan should hope for another disappointing year for the nets.

A bad year could lead all three to leave, making those picks 1000x more valuable.

Harden was pretty lucky there he didn’t end up with some serious injury playing with a grade 2 hamstrings injury.

Even if they made it today, it’s only a matter of time before KD and him go down again.

Get healthy and they will come back stronger next year. Let’s face it. No team is beating them if they are healthy. This series would not even be close had Giannis not taken out Kyrie.

Harden should’ve sat out the rest of the season and let the Nets lose 4 in a row.

At least the slander would be more tame, but nahhhhhh you wanted to be a warriors and tough it out. Now look atcha.

Nothing against these two posters. But these two posts just brings up Yogi Berra's immortal words:

I mean it's way too early to make them the favorites.

Let's see what happens with Kawhi, he could leave the Clippers and join the Heat which would make them major threats and Dame could also be going East if he forces his hand...say Dame in Philly? They would have the pieces to get that done, would make them instant contenders...

Lowry could also join the Lakers for cheap or something...

Let's see how the offseason shakes out basically.

I'm not sure Harden meant that he had a grade 2 hamstring injury in game 1 of this series. If he did suffer a grade 2 strain in game 1, it would've been malpractice for the Nets to let him play 10 days later. A grade 2 strain requires usually 3 weeks or more to recover from (sometimes 4-8 weeks). It involves a partial tear of the muscle, (grade 1 is not a tear). Playing on it could have really jeopardized his career as the possibility he completely tears the muscle off the bone it (grade 3) is very real. A complete tear would've meant months upon months of recovery.

Perhaps James meant the first time he injured it and was out for a month + was a grade 2. And this reinjury was a slight aggravation of it.

I want them to fail but the fact is they're going to have an entire offseason to build around their three stars. and like someone else said barring injuries they're going to be the likely team coming out of East.

No, I really dont think thats what it meant. I really think the dude just rushed back from a grade 2, its very in line with what he usually does with injury stuff.

It is always excuses with James Harden.

    Either Concussions, Injuries.

He is scared of big moments in the 4th Quarter.

James Harden just doesn't have the ability to take over in the Playoffs. He is always Double or Triple Teamed mid court and he throws it away.

Picks up his dribble mid court and turnover. He just will never improve in that area in his game. Dribbling in full court isn't his strength. James never developed into a spot up shooter and playing off the ball. Dribbling full court in the 4th Quarter is a liability.

He needs to pay for a Sports Psychologist, he mentally is scared of pressure situations.
Instead of throwing money at Saweetie and acting like Simp.

Trade James Harden for Kawhi Leonard. The Nets have a chance to win a Championship. With James I don't think he can win a Championship.
Harden has some real self discipline issues in his diet, exercise.
Too scared to take big shots in games.
