There is a big difference to Harden being injured to Westbrook being injured. Harden got double-teamed the whole series versus the Lakers. Injured or not, Westbrook should be taking advantage of 4v3 situation in most possessions. He was useless in 90% of them. Besides, having discomfort in your quad isn’t the same as a grade 2 hamstring injury. Harden is losing so much speed and power with that injury. His accuracy and power is going to be off with his shooting. Not to mention, he’s going to be trash on the perimeter defense….. and we all know that Harden isn’t a great perimeter defender in any case.
I’m not trying to convince you or any of his other fanbois. I’m not losing sleep over his shortcomings. Ya’ll keep believing in him though. Just tone it down a little bit on the sodium when he comes up short summer after summer after summer.
I'm not sure why y'all are debating this. You are both correct. Harden was hurt and it is a major injury. However, he past performances have given him very little, if any, leeway for repeat flame outs in clutch games. It's basically the boy who cried wolf. I think he did it to show his teammates that he is all in; and probably doesn't care what the media/fan narrative is. However, I seriously wonder if Mike James couldn't have equaled what injured Harden did.
i think harden still should have played. they were still in this game and would have not won game 5 or been in this game without him. they were simply a better team with him on one leg than without him, which says a lot about how ****ed their guard rotation was without him and kyrie. joe harris shows up nobody is saying harden should not have played.
He set my city and my team back several years. You really need to go join a Nets fan page and leave here
How can we make this same excuse for Harden but not for anyone else? How do you know how bad his injury was? https://www.bulletsforever.com/2021...zards-russell-westbrook-quadriceps-injury-nba The injury has been bothering him for an entire year? Harden is the only one that can make injury excuses now?
It is definitely true that you do not want it getting cold. But you could simply bunch the minutes; like bring him off the bench in the 2nd or something. Also make him get on the bike. That is why it is there.
Just woke up and what's that? Are my eyes lying to me or still dreaming? Bucks won and let alone in OT? LOLOLOL!!!
No we arent both correct. Im right. This dude is trying to tell me Harden would have played bad had he been healthy. Harden playign with Durant like this would have dominated the Bucks. Its a grade two hamstring injury, all he had to do was play a fraction better and this series ends in 4 or 5 but he could not just like all players who would have that type of injury. Like what about the past two games would have told you he would have this miraculous moment? The dude was playing on one leg.
What about last season? His hamstring was fine then right? KD is also coming off injury but he still shot 47% FG and 36% 3 pt. I'm a big Harden fan he is top 5 SG in history but clearly he is a notch below Lebron, KD and Kawhi. Lebron's ankle pretty bad, he is all alone but his nos are still a lot better than Harden's.
Last season? You mean the one where he carried for 6 games and had one bad game?KD has been healthy for awhile. He had a lot of games under his belt. Believe what you want, but this game doesnt give you any evidence to support your claim.
Stop being dumb for a second. anyone with half a brain could tell he was playing through a grade 2 hamstring injury. He wasn’t supposed to be playing game 5. He went from doubtful to he’ll shoot around and see how he feels in the span of a few hours. He would never have played the series if Kyrie never got injured. Heck, he shouldn’t even have played in any case. Nash panicked and tried to make it out it was Harden’s choice. Who is supposed to be the coach here? Harden or Nash? Nash should have a backbone and say to Harden that I don’t want to risk it. The series was still 2-2, and you still had KD to carry you. He should have seen how game 5 played out without Harden and made his decision after game 5. If they win game 5 without Harden, you then are 3-2 and then maybe you can at least play Harden in a game 7. At least Harden gets 5 more days rest and is way more fresh. Instead, you’re playing a guy who has only played 9 games in roughly 3 months and you’re playing him 3 45 minutes games in a row with a grade 2 hamstring injury. Absolutely dumb coaching decision.
