The modern NBA is so tough for defense.

Trae is killing Simmons and embid (two of the best defenders) in the high screen and roll.

It's extremely difficult to defend when players like Trae, Luka, etc are capable of penetrating, shooting or passing at elite levels out of it.

Only solution is having a lineup that can switch 1 thru 5

 

Finally rivers with an adjustment. Not playing the Simmons with Dwight lineup. Which was by far the worst performing unit for them all playoffs.

This sixers team has a couple really interesting what ifs...

If they had drafted Tatum instead of fultz.

If butler didn't leave in FA.

If they had traded for Lowry.

If they had traded for Beal. Not sure this was ever available tho.

Harden trade is another big what if, but was Tilman willing to trade w/Morey? Plus does Harden somehow not get injured this year in PHI for some reason? Otherwise an injured Harden isn't helping this team this year.
