I don't remember anyone doing this against everyone, but I feel like I vaguely remember one of our past switch hitters doing this against a specific pitcher because he felt like he picked up their weird delivery better from the same side of the plate. Maybe Berkman? I can't remember who it was.
You just cannot help yourself. It's very telling that you continue to push this rhetoric in here but will not go to the D&D and give your opinion.
Post #113. Assumes Maldy for Castro is the only change in the lineup. It's a shame we can't work Castro into the lineup when he's not catching. He's the first guy in a straight up PH role.
So why bring politics into it in this forum? People have asked you to stop yet you continue to do it. Why?
Again, are you advocating changing the batting order for the team that leads MLB in most offensive categories?
FACTS. Stadium attendance restrictions (set by politicians) are being lifted at stadiums across the country. Am I supposed to ignore good news for baseball because YOU don't like FACTS.? I'm not looking for a fight and you shouldn't be either. Now let it go.
I feel like we’re one shut down reliever away from being “f u” good. We’re a solid team as constructed...October is so much about luck and can be a roll of the dice...so I’m comfortable with having teams that constantly make it to the playoffs, but I feel like we’d be Pennant favorites if we went out and added one more lock down reliever. I honestly haven’t kept up with which relievers this year are of that caliber...and it’s so hard to predict because the league’s top relievers feels like it changes annually. Knock on wood but our lineup is scary and our starting rotation is as deep as it gets. Our pen is a hair away from everyone slotting where they need to be. I think this is our year, really do. Lots of great teams, especially in the NL...but don’t count out the ‘Stros!
The pitching market is going to be delayed because of the enforcement on sticky stuff. Teams are going to wait to make sure guys can get outs while being searched when they pitch in a game. I wouldn't expect the pitching market to heat up until at least July 15th. Any list of potential targets right now is pretty worthless. We've talked about it a lot in the trade target thread but that list could change drastically in 3 weeks if guys can't use uber glue anymore.
Can we get a time machine and bring back Mariano Rivera? Yeah, I know he was a Yankee, but he was a Damned fine closer.
For what's it worth, this isn't a batting order used until this series. Batting orders don't matter much as this batting order is still likely better than any other team's batting order. That said, I don't think McCormick is a better hitter than Correa which this lineup implies.
From what I was able to discover, Osuna never got TJ surgery and is pitching in the Mexican league right now?? Any reason not to bring him in for a workout? His Mexican league stats is 6.1 IP, 7 SO, 0 ERA, 0.63 WHIP
