Eesh. So far, all his offseason moves have been meh, short of keeping Brantley and Gurriel around.

What will be interesting to see is player development around the league. The combination of the lost 2020 minor league season, plus the reshuffling is almost certain to have some winners and losers, and I just hope we're in the former camp.

This trade deadline will be an interesting one around the league -- there's probably less info and data on lower minors prospects than usual.

Exactly, smart teams are trying to figure out how to account for the loss of all of last season for these young players. It will cause some degree of inequality. Is a player struggling because they are struggling, or is it because they missed all of last season? Is a guy really improved when he is doing well, or is it that the quality of competition he is facing is lower from lack of conditioning and training during COVID.

My mistake two off-seasons instead of three.

Hopefully he makes better moves than he has so far during his tenure.

This is the hope. He was good in the draft with the Rays. Firing Goldstein has tempered my hope somewhat.

Looks like history is going to repeat itself. Only thing that may save Click is all of the young arms that Luhnow left him. Click really needs to hit on Leon.

Yes, he was basically the 4th starter (he started game 4).

LMJ was the 4th starter in the Yankees series, and he pitched in relief in game 7.

I would look at it as there are three starters who will most likely make starts (Framber, Zack, LMJ), and then you have one of the other three candidates for that 4th start. Again, depending on how the previous series' go, and how much rest they have in between, that guy may end up starting game 1, 2, or 3.

In the mean time, those guys are also available in the bullpen for the other starters.

I'm not mad at anything. This is like a hobby, I apparently don't take this as seriously as you do. I guess you just are ok with riding the coattails. Which is fine.

The Dodgers traded away a player, but didn't add anyone.

Astros added Raley 2-3 weeks before the deadline.

You sound like an "action for the sake of action" kinda person. I look at the playoff teams from 2020 and don't see many if any that made major moves, much less ones that have been resounding successes. Tampa made the kinds of trades most people would cringe at (including i believe you) and has seen the most success from it.

Baseball, like a lot of sports, you can just run the same team mostly back and get different results. Both in a good way and bad way. KC ran a world-series losing team back and won the title the next season. Houston had a better club in 2019 than in 2017 and lost the WS. Making moves for the sake of making moves doesn't guarantee anything.

How about putting Yuli at 3rd and Taylor Jones at 1st? I don't think Toro is playing well right now and Robel is pretty uninspiring. Bad time for Aledmys to be hurt...but he's always hurt

Dusty must love a warm bench or doesn't want Bracamonte to have a warm bench.

More of an outdated type thought , but Bregman did maybe look a little too jacked coming in lol . I wonder if the extra weight made him more injury prone ?

tucker being out right now sucks too . Guy was heating up . Speaking of , I can feel yordan heating up .

when tucker gets back if toro/robel have been awful do you try to see if straw/chaz can play 3rd . Didn’t they try straw at SS ?

Stubbs got called up ? Can he play 3rd or 2nd ?

tuve can be our 3rd baseman for a pinch . It would be hillarious .

There are only 21 players having a worse MLB season than Jones out of 1892 players in the majors. Odds are good that Toro is not within the 1 percentile of players.
