I'll take my lumps. That being said, I still think PHI wins in 7. But Sweet Lou Williams and Trae Young taking over while Philly chokes it away... gotta love it. I like Embiid, and he's incredible, but his BBIQ... not great. And honestly F Daryl anyway, hope his team goes down in flames. Thanks for all the years of surrounding James Harden with players who can't shoot, but insisting on launching 50 3's a game anyway.
GUN VIOLENCE BLARRRRRRRRGGGGHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I went to bed when the game was around 20 points, still can't believe that collapse lol. Lou Williams has been part of some epic freaking playoff comebacks... Rockets vs. Clippers game 6 (and the series), Clippers vs. Warriors game 2 32 point comeback or something?, and then last night. Wow.
Also before that title run Doc had never won a single series. In 8 years as a head coach. Including the blown 3-1 Tmac “it feels good to be in the 2nd round” series. And a 1st round game 7 loss at home as a 3 seed. He was in the hot seat before the KG Allen big 3 trade.
“Ben for Dame. Not gonna find a better package.” “Ben for Beal. Not gonna find a better package.” “Ben for [your superstar]. Not gonna find a better package, a better player than Ben.” LOL Filthadelphia fans Harris: 21-22: $35,995,950 22-23: $37,633,050 23-24: $39,270,150 Simmons: 21-22: $33,003,936 22-23: $35,448,672 23-24: $37,893,408 24-25: $40,338,144 Got out of Ryan Anderson’s deal, Chris Paul’s deal, Al Horford’s deal so I guess there is hope for Simmons/Tobias.
I am not sure why anyone is blaming this on Doc Rivers. Philly has an absolute garbage roster and if it weren’t for Doc and a healthier Embiid this year that team would be .500 at best. Just think, this teams second best player is Tobias Harris, a man who could not make a point blank layup! There up and coming star point guard (Simmons)took 4 shots last night? There second best scorer was undrafted ball chucked and professional neck beard model Seth “the other light skinned meat” Curry. Now compare that roster to the Hawks - Once in a generation talent Trae Young - Great three and D wing who can also handle and is a good rebounder John Collins - Another guy with length who is a greater 3 point shooter and can handle, Danilo Gallinari - Anotner great three point shooter in Bogdanivich - Capella, a defensive and rebounding beast in the paint who is a great run runner, as we all remember - Lou Williams coming off the bench Sorry to tell everyone, but Atlanta has more talent than the Sixers, and it’s why they are winning and will win this series. As an Atlanta resident, I am going to see if I can get some tickets to game 6 when we finish them off
"We just gave it to them," Sixers point guard Ben Simmons said. "We got too comfortable and didn't play the way we should be playing. Didn't move the ball as much in the second half. Didn't get as many easy shots. And defensively, there were too many lapses where we didn't communicate."
Bull**^t! Sorry, Ben, you lost because the Hawks were playing 5 on 2 on defense since they know you are an absolute 0 on offense. Instead of chasing IG models and starlets this offseason, go chase a jump shot or at least a good post game. What a Clown!
Simmons making as much money as he does is absolutely criminal. He's a role player. Also, how many free passes is Doc Rivers going to get??
One of the things everyone CAN blame Doc on is his insistence to let Ben "be Ben" and not motivate him to be a better all around player. He wants to publicly coddle his player, great, but all that does is prevent him from actually being a top 5-7 player in this league. Motivating a player (and a team) is a big part of coaching. As for the talent comparison, if Embiid wasn't playing with a torn meniscus this series would have probably been over already. He THAT good despite the next best player on the roster not being able to and don't want to shoot. I do love the Hawks' fire though; I fully embraced Trae's villain tour right now. The league needs more of that.
