Can we start calling them the Milwaukee Bambis? Watching them on offense is like trying to watch Bambi walk on ice...
Agreed. Harden's game might age well or it might not... I wouldn't make any judgements base on tonights game however. Personally i thought he had terrible decision making tonight, especially in the 4th quarter. He held the ball way too long, had multiple turnover or questionable passes and worst of all, took a couple ill-advise shots despite Durant being on fire. Harden should be commended for his effort. It was a gutsy performance, but I wouldn't point to this game performance as an example of great basketball IQ or decision making. Of course compared to the Bucks, perhaps it wasnt so bad.
With Net's injury problems Bucks can still easily win this. All they need to do is one thing: Don't play stupid. Seriously. It's that easy. Yet its so hard for them to not be stupid.
harden gutted out 46 minutes one-legged a la willis reed. don’t ever underestimate the heart of a soon to be champion
I don't get why people rag on Simmons for not even trying to shoot. Would you rather have someone like Giannis or Westbrook who can't but keeps shooting anyway? It may as well be a turnover. And it's not like their shooting warps the defensive coverage. The defense happily sits back and watches them brick 90% of the time.
people rag on him bc he can't shoot period. It's not whether he takes them or not. He just can't. So as a guard and ball handler, that eliminates a big chunk of the game for someone who is supposed to be one of your best players and in the modern era one that is pretty much necessary to win If simmons was some limited role player like bobby brown who also doesn't shoot getting spot minutes, nobody would care. But he isn't
I get that for sure. But people always emphasize the "he doesn't even try" part as if it's an additional demerit. I get that he should be able to do it but if he can't I'd rather that he just doesn't try unlike Russ or Giannis who are essentially turning it over.
They may shoot it but it's not like simmons isn't hurting his own team also because he isn't being guarded either on the perimeter. It's magnified because he's suppose to be the 76ers 2nd best player who is their primary ball handler
remember brick freak in the all star game told team giannis to go at harden in the post in the 4th quarter. And one by one harden turned them all back
"He doesn't even try" not in the sense that he should be taking those shots when he's not current capable of taking them, but you get a sense from him of a general lack of motivation to even try to work on that aspect of his game outside of playtime.
Yeah, like how Jason Kidd who can't shoot coming into the league, became a 3pt specialist by the end to prolong his career. You just don't feel Simmons is that kind of guy.
Okay dumbass. Nows the perfect game to compare gimpy harden to kd. If kd was so fking great he wouldn't have needed Harden to return back so soon when the man's fking injured. U just like to sht on Harden regardless fking harden hater.
I do get your point but it is different since Simmons and Russ are PGs or at least Simmons runs offense a lot... Giannis you are 100% right here. He could be a center and he'd be likely the best Center in the NBA. People got it in his mind that he needs to shoot to be more efficient and it just ain't happening. This man ain't getting a shot, shooting is something natural at some point a guy has to realize he will never be a good shooter. What he does well he does EXTREMELY well and should stick to that. Every now and then sure, he can run the fast break and initiates plays but not as much as they have him do it. If Giannis had a hookshot or go to post move he could drop 40 in his sleep like Joker and Embiid can. Instead we have to struggle and watch him try to play point forward or like Lebron for large chunks of the game. Been saying for years and years Giannis should be working on his low post game, not his perimeter game. People want him to be Dirk or Durant and that's never going to happen, them dudes came into the NBA knowing how to shoot. Dudes that get a shot later in their career are the exceptions, not the rule. Most bad shooters just stay bad. So yeah, I agree. I'd rather he not shoot at all. In the regular season, sure, try it out...but when the playoffs start cut that out.
