The thing is that even Morey has admitted in interviews that this philosophy is based on aggregates and achieving a number of possessions to make the numbers work. He also stated that in the right situations like in crunch time and to break streaks or cold spells, a mid range shot is perfectly acceptable if it is one of your spots. Problem is that not many of the Rockets outside Paul had a mid range spot that was automatic, and neither McHale or D'Antoni were great for preparing and teaching situational strategy.
Harden used to have a pretty good mid range game his first few years here until he fell in love with off balance, step back, 1 legged, fadeaway 3 pointers from 30 ft out.
I vaguely remember it, but I don't recall it being that consistent. But yeah removing that completely from his game was a mistake.
I mean eventually someone will comeback from 0-3 in the NBA. It has happened in both NHL and MLB, even if still rarely. I mean we have even seen a 16th seed over a 1 seed in the NCAA finally in the past few years.
Nuggets look like they’re on their way to getting waxed again…can’t really blame them, Suns are a good team, and I just can’t take a team seriously that’s been starting the likes of Campazzo or has a bench consisting of Rivers, JaMychal Green, McGee, Milsap, etc aside from being healthier last year, Denver also had more talent…and even then, they did still manage to go down 3-1 in both the 1st and 2nd round so yeah, I can’t take Denver seriously which is why I’ve skipped most of their games this postseason just goes to show u how far away the Blazers are from being a threat when they were clearly a worse team than Denver even minus Murray
I thought I was going to be able to root for the Suns, But I'm just Jealous. they stole our whole flow.
