And a third team, the A's, also playing to form and walking it off with another one-run win.

C'mon, baseball God's, time for a huge ass correction :D

Kinda funny seeing so many early in the thread admonishing Urquidy. Dude pitched a 7 inning 4 hit gem. I’d give up minimal hits w the occasional solo HR then putting a lot more guys on the base paths. Verlander is prone to the same thing - dominant outside of the occasional gopher ball.

Plus we’ve seen Urquidy excel in literally the biggest stages of the playoffs. That’s huge.

I think Garcia may end up being our third best starting pitcher, although he may be moved to the pen for a time to manage innings. Garcia has two elite pitches - his cutter (.191 xwOBA vs league average .333 xwOBA) and slider (.172 xwOBA vs league average .272 xwOBA), and an above average pitch in his changeup. The key for him is learning how to limit damage off of his fastball which has been the pitch to look for by batters against him.

I agree that Framber is likely the best pitcher on the staff. It's also interesting this season that he's using his changeup more and it's been effective for him so far. Having a more diverse pitch mix could serve him well and help protect his sinker.

I’d say right now, obviously with McCullers’ injury and the small sample size- Garcia has been the third best pitcher. He’s done an outstanding job. We have a surplus in quality starting pitching. A very good problem to have.

To be fair, His playoffs are nothing like normal playoffs. It might have been a big stage, but there was no audience to speak of.

How many folks were in the stands screaming? It's not a rhetorical question. I stopped watching the Astros for a couple of years after MLB became BLM.

Which World Series did the Astros participate where fan attendance was an issue?

Once again, painting BLM on every pitcher's mound "Isn't political" but complaining about it is. HYPOCRISY.

MLB didn’t paint BLM in the Astros game thread.

From here on out I guess Dusty will only start our 1-7 Death Star lineup one game in a row.

??? no one HERE is talking about BLM being painted on the mound, on the uniforms, or anywhere else. No one is mentioning BLM at all
in this thread except you. How are you not grasping this? If you want to talk about BLM and baseball and the merits/hypocrisy of it all then start a thread in the D&D. I’m sure you’ll garner some good discussions on the topic but please not here. You have great contributions to the actual baseball topics, just leave It at that.

Thermal Exhaust Port Straw isn't in the lineup either.

    Look, amigo:

Everyone here has told to to cool it down and leave it alone, not once, not twice but 7+ times.

    You refuse.

You actually had interesting things to say about baseball...It's a damn shame.

All the lineup whiners are going to have a bad time in the next month or so.

20 games in a row starting the 15th. Prepare for 15 different lineups.

Astros are the No. 1 offense by far. As long as Dusty and Click keep Straw, Chas, Robles (sp?), Maldy, and Jones after the good hitters, I'm fine with it. There is romanticism over tough guys that play 162 games. However, teams rest guys because rested guys take the tough guys behind the woodshed so much in the games they play that the losses on rest days don't hurt the team overall. Teams aren't resting players out of the kindness of their hearts.
