If any of this is true, I can assure you that it wasn't his hands he was worried about. It was Vernon's hands. He wanted no part of them. So he was going to knock him out with a weight before he could get whooped. Were I to decide to assault Vernon Maxwell, I would definitely take a similar approach. You want to make sure you can escape before he becomes conscious again.
More context for the newbs: These were the teams Max were on that were NOT the championship teams. No Sam Cassell, Drexler, Also Kenny Smith was owning BJ Armstrong. This was the v1 Bulls champions vs the pre-Clutch City Rockets.
Just in case anybody thinks Max is going too hard on Utah.... https://www.espn.com/nba/story/_/id...e-fans-verbal-altercation-game-2-vs-grizzlies
I didn't realize he really wants to do it. Hell yeah! Bring him in! Although we'd probably get a more PC version so he doesn't get fired and the team would probably ask him to tone it down on Twitter. Do we really want that?
Maxwell drops "MFs" three times in every sentence usually. He'll really have to tone it down and he can't let that stuff slip on TV if he wants to do that job.
My sons are now 11 and 8. I’ve schooled them on Rockets history and they are really into it. When my youngest is playing basketball by himself he pretends he’s “Mad Max” Max is his all time favorite player. No jumping on the LeBron, Durant, Steph trains like many kids or even adults that care more about individuals than teams. My son is as real as it gets.
