I saw a jeweler that was wearing a $10K gold and diamond bracelet on an apple watch.

I haven't had a watch in a while but have been considering a Bulova Precisionist watch... Or something like that... Not looking for a Rolex but also not looking for a smart watch etc. I got tired of using the phone, especially when I am trying to have a conversation with someone. Easier for me to glance at the watch than looking at my phone and I kind of like to disconnect sometimes from tech since it's with us all the time. Definitely not settled on this watch though, I just started looking and unfortunately I don't know if it's fire.

Don't get me wrong I work in tech and I'll use my phone still but really don't like having it out/in use since it might look like I'm not interested in the people I'm visiting/meeting w/ etc. - I mean unless I'm expecting something important it can wait to check the phone.

If youre considering one of those, look into Citizen Eco-Drive perpetual calendar watches. I love mine and the fact that its powered by light, so no need for batteries or keeping them winded like automatics, if youre not wearing it from time to time. The perpetual calendar gears on them are effing amazing too- you set it once and never have to fool with changing dates on differing months. I wanna say it even compensates for leap year, but dont exactly remember. The only thing you have to fool with is day light savings time when that happens. Pretty awesome.

They have a fossil outlet at Katy Mills if you’re ever evacuating.

The perpetual calendar watch does account for leap year!

I'm a big fan of citizen watches. I've had an titanium atomic perpetual calendar Citizen watch https://www.jomashop.com/citizen-watch-at4010-50e.html for 7 years and it's still working great. I don't even have to adjust it for day light savings time unless I was at a place with bad radio reception.

Though I have to admit, I don't wear it often any more. The watch isn't too heavy since it's titanium, but it's still fairly bulky. I'm past the period in my life of trying to 'dress to impress' so I wear a Garmin Vivosport everyday. It's not the prettiest, but it's so practical. I've had it for 3.5 years, but I've yet to find a replacement model that has all of the features of the vivosport in that small of a package.

That sounds really awesome, thanks so much for the suggestion! I literally started looking maybe last week but definitely want to get something that has a feature like that. I used to wear a watch maybe 10+ years ago and I feel it'd still be nice to have one.

Yeah, I'm definitely not dressing to impress, haha - I just like idea of having a nicer watch again that has a metal band and everything. My last watches that were like that lasted a long time but didn't have the features these newer ones have.

My thing with watches is I don't like busy and I don't like bulky.
