Eh, you did spend the entire 2016 season trolling and mocking the people who wanted BOB fired. https://bbs.clutchfans.net/threads/fire-bill-obrien.277511/ The dam broke for you sometime in late 2017, it seems.
I always give people a fair chance to prove themselves, I gave it a few seasons to see if the spin about his offense having a steep learning curve was true....when i discovered that was just spin and he was simply a terrible coach, that was that. If I remember correctly that happened in 2015 when he brought in Hoyer and Mallett to be his chosen QB tandem. It was clear by the end of the season he had no clue what he was doing. Having re-read that thread, I do see where you got that impression though. I often mock knee jerk takes even if I'm not happy with the state of things either. There were plenty of examples of me bashing BOB on other threads
Two corners taken after we took Johnson at 16--Marcus Peters (18) and Byron Jones (27). He was a terrible pick and I remember my son wanting us to take Peters.
I followed him via fantasy footall, not real world. He blew up then broke a wrist as I recall then kept getting dinged up- he's small and brittle. That's why DEN traded for/signed Melvin Gordon. I like Lindsay and hope he gets some good juice and shows up here healthy- if he does, he runs away with the job.
https://apple.news/AdeG6uEqPSbu7w3FcColtOw Imagine that, teams don’t want to pay WRs large amounts of money. $38 million over 3 years. Hopkins is at $22 million a year.
So does age. Julio Jones is going to be 32 years old this season and last season had only 771 yards due to an injury. Andre Johnson's last year he had over 1000 yards receiving was when he was 32. Texans traded Hopkins when he was 28 and in his prime.
https://profootballtalk.nbcsports.com/2021/06/07/texans-are-struggling-to-sell-season-tickets/ Texans are struggling to sell season tickets Posted by Mike Florio on June 7, 2021, 12:56 PM EDT The Texans essentially have become an expansion team. At least when they were an expansion team, fans wanted to see them play. The franchise that joined the NFL in 2002 has sold out every one of its home games. That steak is in danger. Jerome Solomon of the Houston Chronicle writes that, in a matter of weeks, he has gone from 12,734 on the season-ticket waiting list to eligible to buy season tickets. Solomon passed. “Hell would freeze over before I’d spend a nickel on Texans tickets this year,” Solomon explains. But he doesn’t blame the current players, the team, or Deshaun Watson‘s legal issues for the predicament. “The ineptitude starts at the top,” Solomon writes. “That is why I couldn’t find a reason to justify spending on tickets.” It’s amazing to think that, fewer than 17 months ago, the Texans held a 24-0 lead over the Chiefs in the playoffs. It’s been all downhill since then, the Texans possibly haven’t reached rock bottom. In the first season of 17 regular-season contests, the Texans are currently favored to lose every single game.
Came close to pulling the trigger on a PSL after BoB was canned. There hundreds, if not more, on the official marketplace with a bunch listed at a lost. Pretty nuts that I would’ve likely just forfeited the PSL. Honestly I probably won’t go to a game this year even if offered free tickets.
I gave up trying to get rid of mine. I'd have to basically give them away. Stuck with these stupid things until at least the next 10 win season. That being said, it has never been a better time to buy in, but I imagine it will be even better in December/January.
Ya I don't see myself helping to line Cal's pockets anytime soon, even with on-field success. Sucks cause I've had my eye on season tickets for the longest time.
