i hate this narrative that chris paul changed the fortune of the suns the suns went 8-0 in the bubble last year, and barely missed the playin because of a tiebreaker. they were set to break out this year regardless of cp3
you shouldn't. He's consistently showed this type of winning impact on every team hes been on. The Suns were 26-39 before the bubble. There was no #2 seed and actually being a contender before getting cp3.
They probably are in the play-in this year without CP3 and Crowder. No matter how you look at it those additions are responsible for PHX being #2 in the league, full stop. They deserve the lion's share of the credit. ETA: Not to mention that in the bubble the Suns were playing teams who were resting their stars or coasting most of the time. It is my opinion that a lot of teams' bubble success was fraudulent anyway. Lakers' youth couldn't handle being in a real playoff atmosphere this year compared to bubble playoffs.
I think the Suns would’ve been around GS or Memphis level this year if CP3 had never gone there…so around 4 or 5 games above .500 and in the play-in they probably would’ve made the playoffs last year if Ayton wasn’t suspended 25 games, so they were slowly ascending, but CP3 skyrocketed it
Denver's rim protection and inside defense is awful. Jokic and AG need to step up. Suns defense is solid against Jokic, but he should be able to get more going. Also would like to see their guards go inside more, as well as MPJ. Anyone else loving Campazzo? That guy is really the incarnate of Pablo Prigioni with getting steals and being sneaky.

The difference is the mentality, Harden wanted to be carried by others, CP3 looks to help carry his team. Looks like it's working out for both of them.
